This is something you need NOT to be confused with something you want.

Is there something you need to buy but don't have the funds for it?

Thankfully, there is nothing that I need that I don't have the money for at the moment.

All my needs are within my income bracket. If my health holds as well as it has, then I think I should be fine. Even with good insurance, I think healthcare costs, as I age, are the thing that scares me the most. Your body begins to act funky once you hit my age.

You act like you're old. You're not even a 100 yet.

I also am fortunate in this way.

Ditto. Though mostly I just try not to think about it.

I know the feeling. I'm foregoing a future add 4-tooth bridge + 2 implants bc that out-of-pocket cost will be more practical spent somewhere else (food, utilities....nonsense like that). I'm learning to live with the gaps in my mouth. Gums cost over $10K out-of-pocket 2 years ago. Wife complains we never go anywhere. I just suggest she dig into her 401K or wherever as the dentist broke my piggy bank of note this year as well as year previous ($8K for 2 implants).

A house/small home where I can live without worry, love to buy one fully outright, or pay off a lot of it early so I don't have to worry so much about mortgage, but houses are really expensive, especially near where I work, I still live with parents but I pay them my share of the bills and I help with chores every now and then, thinking of moving to an apartment too for a while if It gets troublesome living with my parents for too much longer.
