Im really confused by this, is it just a slice of bread with butter on, which side would count as top and bottom, bottom side buttered touching the plate, so you see no butter on top or vice versa? Just buttered slice of bread Well it's a question! My answer: butter on top if you're just talking about a slice of bread with butter on xD

I am lactose intolerant.

So peanut butter on top... I guess.

I usually have preserves or jam with it though.

And I like sunflower butter almost as much as peanut butter. It's sweeter.

So I voted "picked this to be different".

Wait, people put butter on the bottom of bread? Do you butter the top and just flip it? What exactly is the benefit of this?

I was not aware of this thing.

Ultimately, all bread will end up buttered on the bottom if you drop it.

I don't put butter on the sandwich if I make one at home. at work however, when I make them I go with the bottom. its like a sealant!
