Crunchyroll what are you doing to fix this. Daiz is 100% correct here and is an expert in the scene and has been for well before Crunchyroll ever existed.

Only my eyes will be the judge

Streaming great on my S7 so far, not even a hiccup. After hearing such things I had to even see what I was still paying for.

We shall see where they stand.

Pay more for worse quality. Horray!

Oh! And Crunchyroll staff are dodging the question too!

Unless this is addressed and corrected soon, I am going to cancel my subscription. I don't want to do that, I trust Crunchyroll will do the right thing.

For those who haven't been following the other topics in the forum (there is at least one in the Anime section and several in the Premium section), here is how it seems to stand at present:

- They fixed the episode people were complaining about.
- New episodes are fine for a time and then are replaced with a lower quality version (to save space, maybe?).
- Everything else seems to have the low bit rate.
- Nobody has officially made a statement about this problem. Just some soothing words from PR people, mostly on reddit.

I'm not an expert at video encoding and I haven't checked too extensively, but what what has been said basically matches my experience regarding the low quality visuals. I'd personally like someone from the company to make a statement affirming that they'll go with increased quality moving forward and stop uploading inferior versions of the videos.

Ya.......I will be cancelling my membership if this isn't reverted. Even worse than the change itself is the fact that they only swap them to the shitty quality videos after a day so it's like saying "Oh, you didn't see it the day it came out? Well fuck you..."

That's BS

As EarthLight22 mentioned, there are already active threads regarding this.

Therefore I've closed this one. Here are links to the other threads:

In the Anime forum:

and it's also been brought up in the Suggestions/Feedback forum:

There are also several related threads in the Premium Members forum.
