Hey everyone,

Have you been using VRV to access Crunchyroll (or the other way around)? Well, today I bring you great news!

VRV now supports Chromecast, so now you can watch everything from your living room straight from your iOS or Android device.

If you’ve ever used Crunchyroll’s casting capabilities, you already know the drill: simply tap the Chromecast icon and connect it to your enabled television. While shows are running, you can browse all channels in a new second-screen mode, and change anything instantly!

The Chromecast update is available in the latest update for the VRV app on iOS and Android, and will work for Crunchyroll Premium members if account linking is enabled.

For those of you who missed the earlier news, account linking is now LIVE with Crunchyroll and VRV! That means that if you already have a Crunchyroll Premium members, your paid subscription can carry over to VRV as well. Check out the instructions below to see how to link your accounts, or our forum post for more details.

Haven’t tried VRV yet? Check it out on vrv.co!

Did you mean a VRV app? There already is a CR app:

Am I reading this correct....since I am a premium CR holder does that mean that I don't have to pay any additional money and all I have to do is link the account or do I have to purchase this vrv first then link the account. I am paid up for a year? Please explain...thanks

Why is the Chromecast version more important than the PC version?

I would like to watch all those on my laptop, please.

I'm waiting...

It is probably less about importance, and more about ease of implementation. They no doubt want to go with an HTML5 player, and even CR's HTML5 player is still in beta (and not without the occasional issue) at this point.

Hm, who would've known that HTML5 player implementation would be significant problem in comparison to Chromecast or IOS.

Oh well..., thanks for the explanation though.

It's nice to see features getting added, but Roku's what I'm waiting for. Roku support is the minimum needed for me to sign up. Then having an HTML5 version would be ideal - I do occasionally watch stuff from my computer (especially non-Crunchyroll content where I can put it on a side-screen and multitask).

Please note what topic you are in. Where do you see a Roku app for VRV (not CR)?
