To all the CR users who are women and use purses.

Don't you just hate it when you need to find something in your purse and takes forever to find? This forces you to dump everything out of your purse only to then find it. It's annoying, right?

Because of this, do you use a smaller purse or none at all?

What do you think, ladies?

Men, if you're curious for some odd reason, stop on by.

I usually brush it off, except when I lose specific items in there... Like a credit card. *sigh* And of course I find it after I order a new one.

No, I accept it as a price to pay for having bonus storage space for road trips and the like.

Sometimes it's easier to use a larger purse--that makes it easier to find things through rummaging and shifting things to emptier parts of the purse while looking without dumping everything out.

My main solution though is to have a couple of small "cosmetic" bags in the purse for holding smaller items. I usually don't toss random things into my purse, so I know what's in there and I know what part of the purse it's in so it's rare for me to lose things in there.

Yeah, it's a real pain to lose stuff in my purse since it is a big purse and is really messy. I only use smaller purses for when I'm going to be leaving for a run to the store or when I'm not going to be bringing a lot of stuff with me.

I'm assuming if I suggest you get a smaller purse, I'll get shot several times.

I don't have this problem because I pack what I need for the day so it's easy for me to find things.

I'm just not a purse person. I think it was seeing my mother pack the world in her giant bag that put me off. Grandmother did have a small purse that she hid in her bra. She'd do a jiggle to find it. These days mother has finally started to use tiny purses. Big enough to fit her card and keys. If there's a time when I have to carry a lot of stuff then I'll get a knapsack with lots of pockets. Mostly I'll just wear clothes with good pockets which come in handy.

I don't use a purse. I usually use a small bag (which will contain everything I need) or keep it in my pocket if I'm not wearing a dress.

I don't really use a purse either. I'm more of a messenger bag girl.

I use dedicated bags in predetermined spots to solve this problem, but I really only carry a handbag on special occasions anyway. I much prefer backpacks. They have good load distribution, lots of space, plenty of pockets and compartments, and can even get a little extra storage if you put Molle webbing on them.

So, you're a backpack kind of girl?

Very much so. It's pretty hard to snatch something that's attached to me across either shoulder, the weight isn't all concentrated on one side, there's more space to keep things in (allowing me to carry larger objects like computers or books), and they tend to be compact enough to store at work without issue. Handbags are show pieces as far as I'm concerned, and I tend to not have a particularly strong interest in being flashy.
