I can't help it I've fallen in LOVE with TV Tropes and it's getting a bit bad. I would spend long minutes or even a hour on that website browsing through random things. It's so awesome but I get too dependent on it. Anyone else feels this way.

TV Tropes knew this would cause a problem so they made a trope for people who lives are ruined by using TV Tropes.

I like going there and learning new things but I've grown too attached to it.

Anyone else?

No, not at all. It peters out pretty quickly for me.

Also, the easiest way to lose an afternoon is to try to post anything to the Crunchyroll Forums.

I love going on TV Tropes as well, since I like to learn about trope examples in some of my favorite shows. I don't do it often though.

I try to not go there when I don't wanna be online for a long time or have something else I needed to do. It can be quite addicting, seeing as I keep opening new tabs most of the time I'm on there.

Yeah, true.

It's pretty fun on there though although so many spoilers... I can't help but look at them.

I've been using it a lot due to the "Poorly describe your favorite anime" thread, and I've started to lose a lot of time there. so many tropes have such crazy names that I just HAVE to look them up to understand them.

They do have crazy names and makes me want to search even more.

I know what you mean, lol. But yeah, It's really easy to burn up a lot of time looking through the various pages. That said, there are two things I suggest you keep in mind when reading through it.

1. It was written by people. What is written on the various pages in simply the opinions of various writers. It isn't any more immune to interpretation or incompleteness then any of the works the site covers. A given page may look solidly written, but just take a look at the "ymmv" or "wmg" pages if you want to see how fractured these entries are.

2.Tropes are not (inherently) bad (yes, I'm paraphrasing a trope there). It's not good to judge a work based on what tropes are used, but rather, how they're used. A lot of the best stories are as troperific as heck. It's how the writer makes use of them that ultimately matters more.
