2 days ago i canceled my renewal of a 1 year membership that is meant to finish on the 4th of August, but later that day all my premium perks were disabled and i no longer had premium. I was wondering if this is a common bug or is that how it is meant to be?

You should /contact support directly for account issues... The forums are pretty much for peer to peer support. Occasionally a staff member may read posts here, but you shouldn't count on it.

I did latter that day still waiting for a reply, was just wondering if it happens sometimes?

I mostly see posts from people not being able to cancel, usually turns out because there is a bank transaction pending. I can't remember seeing any posts where cancelling renewal on an actual paid (not trial) subscription lost benefits early before the paid for time ran out... But then again, I forget what I was going to do after walking into a different room, sometimes...

Like asharka, I haven't seen that reported. I think there is an option when canceling to have the service end immediately rather than at the end of the already paid for services. So, it's possible this is a bug, but it's also possible you accidentally chose the option to cancel immediately.

I was looking around on the forums and what i could see was you have to contact support to cancel you renewal, but this was from some old posts. I was wondering it was still the case or i just didn't see the option to cancel at the end of my membership. I would also like to know on average how long it takes support to get back to you what i could see was almost a week.

When contacting support you should get an automatic email response almost immediately, and will sometimes get a second boilerplate response soon after. For a more personal response it can take a day or two.

Check your "spam" or "junk" folder -- it's not uncommon for CR support mail to end up there for some reason.
