Do you leave reviews for businesses? are they mostly negative or positive reviews ?

I heard about things like this before

customers sued for leaving negative reviews...

I actually write quite a lot of reviews - both good and bad. Though, just like my forums posts - they're pretty heavy. By that, I mean it's usually about four (or more) paragraphs and a breakdown of each aspect of the company, restaurant, or product. Then again, I'm given quite a lot of stuff to review as well - so I keep up the pace of reviewing things honestly. Some companies ask that I send them a preliminary review so they can see if they can fix the issues before I post it to whatever media (Amazon, Google Maps, Newegg, etc).

I can be harsh on technical things (as I tend to show genuine data/metrics) and of certain types of stores/restaurants. I try to be realistic and view things as objective as possible but sometimes the customer service can leave a bitter taste in a review (no matter how hard you try).

i was happy with the price and service of the dealer i got my car from.. so i left a good review for that dealer on yelp.. Yelp removed my review

when i googled it..

my guess is i'm a new user with only 3-4 reviews on yelp or something or maybe my review was too positive

yelp is pretty crappy. They use some automated system that will put reviews under "not recommended section" if it's too positive or too negative. If you are reading yelp reviews, i would suggest reading those hidden reviews instead.

I would use google reviews since you can upload pictures right in with your review
