I like to cycle between lowest and highest priced items and contrast ratings and availability.

If I am buying clothes though I will check sales first always.

Hmm.... kind of depends on what I'm shopping for.

If it's music, New Arrivals.

If it's something that there are many of, like a spatula, I toggle price (low to high/high to low).

If it's something that could kill me, I filter by Best Seller or Top Rated.

Rarely filter alphabetically, but do filter music chronologically if I'm going through a groups back catalog.

At RightStuf I use Newest to Oldest for BD anime releases when I can delude myself into believing I have money.

At AmiAmi I used end of month accumulation combined shipping as a filter since getting anything from Japan airmail is expensive.

I search specifically what I'm looking for, as in the exact brand and model. I don't really browse. If I don't care for what exact thing I get, like if I just need a cheap wire or something, I'll check out the sales.

People should do more research on things before buying. Ratings and whatnot are often useless.

I always look for the highest rated items so I know the item Iwant is a high quality, will do everything I want/need and will last.

None really. I mean I don't buy random stuff online, I know what I am looking for in advance. Now to choose the vendor I don't buy from anyone without a 95%+ positive rating and plenty of selling history.

If I really need to do window shopping or shopping for the hell of it I'll go to the mall, but it's not something I do often, I'm kinda frugal with my $.

EDIT: I suppose if I wanted to check out random stuff online, sales and hottest/most popular sales would be where I'd check first.

Most of my amazon and ebaying is for figures and ive got pretty much everything that I can think of off the top of my head that I actually want. Or its in the mail already lol. so when I do find myself on a site looking, I tend to be looking for pre-orders to see what might be coming out. so "newest first".

Price, newest and top rated then I'll look at the merchants page and maybe ask them for pictures of what I'm buying with something so it's effort for them to lie to me and of course
