I remember I started watching Sailor Moon when I was 4/5, then it was Pokemon, then Dragon Ball Z.

Didn't watch much anime after, I got back into it when I was about 18!

Definitely Sailor Moon (even Crystal provides some nostalgic feels) and Pokemon. But Melancholy of Haruhi does the same for me, too.

Well Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh are the obvious choices for being the first anime I watched. Naruto and Dragon Ball should also be mentioned for getting me into shonen battle series'. I can also go slightly less mainstream and say Midori Days, which I watched back when I was just on the cusp of getting back into anime. Lastly, I have to mention Captain Earth and Assassination Classroom. Some of the first current anime I started watching simulcasts of.

I didn't watch anime when I was young, but every time I hear the Hunter x Hunter opening it makes me feel young again

EASILY Pokemon. I owe quite a lot to it, really. It's far more than just a nostalgia factor thing for me. It was a major source of creative inspiration when I was younger so without it, I'd very likely not be on the same path in life that I currently am. For pure nostalgia factor, though, I could add things like Yu Gi Oh, Medabots, I guess Digimon (even though I kind of just... outgrew it or something. I don't get the same enjoyment out of it now that I did then, for some reason) etc.

Hamtaro. I used to watch that show religiously when I was a kid. Had the playsets and the plushies and everything. I used to visit fansites of it too (Ham Ham Kingdom was the best!) I'd even go so far as to say that Hamtaro might've been the first thing I googled when I got my first computer.

I wish somebody would get the rights to stream it, just to see if it can stand the test of time. I also kind of wish that whoever gets the rights would do a reboot of it. (Hey, if Tama and Friends can get a reboot, why not Hamtaro?)

Voltron, Sailor Moon, Big O, Cardcaptors, DBZ, Pokemon, etc.
Basically if it was on old school Toonami, there's going to be nostalgia. Though the really nostalgic stuff is Voltron, He-man, and Thundercats. Got to be from the 80s or real early 90s to be really nostalgic.

I never really stopped watching anime or cartoons. So the line where nostalgia ends is sort of blurry. Also doesn't help that time slips by, so stuff that came out over ten years ago like FMA 2003 doesn't seem like it should be old enough to be nostalgic.

Either DN Angel or Digimon. I knew Sailor Moon around the time it was popular, and watched some episodes of it, but forgot the name so I wasn't able to be so invested in it like other people. ^^ Pokemon definitely provides some nostalgia, it reminds me of my family that traveled a lot. I liked waking up in a hotel or motel and seeing Pokemon on the TV before eating breakfast.

Well I watched DBZ and Pokemon when I was really young, but I honestly don't feel very nostalgic when I watch them again. So yeah, even though I only first watched Naruto like 3-4 years ago I'd go with that.

Beck was one of my all time favs still the production quality was good too. Wish Funi didn't ruin it. Studio Madhouse was on the ball. Wish that Beck could have gone farther than 2 quors though. Great story. But the anime that brought me in and one I can rewatch is Bubblegum Crisis 2040. It was the first non-kiddy anime I saw late night on HBO and could not miss an episode. The first japan import I ever saw and loved was MMPR (I know I'm dating myself here) First Anime was Pokemon when there was just 150 and DBZ and the other Toonami greats that were the anime renascence at the time.

Robot Carnival - That brings me back. love the music and animation. The first time I thought animation is art.

Barefoot Gen - One of the first anime I saw and it hit me hard in the feels. It opened my eyes to the horrors of war.

Golglo 13: The Professional - One of the first adult anime I watched. Action, sex, and some fucked up shit. This wasn't Looney Tunes anymore.
