Every time I try to play new videos it stays on retrieving or loading for like the last three days now. It's frustrating

I've been having issues with videos retrieving and loading for around a week now. Haven't been able to watch most of my shows, and it has me extremely frustrated. After restarting my router and Roku device a couple of times, I decided to contact support with my issue and what all I have done to try to remedy the issue. Sadly, support was useless as they don't appear to read the messages. I'm just planning on canceling my premium membership at this point.

I thought it was just me having this problem. The new episodes play on my phone, but not my TV. Indeed, its very frustrating.

Also having this issue!
Seems to be very random. Some shows will play without issue on the Roku app while others freeze on the "retrieving" screen with a full progress bar. Super duper annoying! Can still get anything and everything to play properly on my pc. Doesn't seem to be an internet connectivity issue, no issues with other apps and some crunchyroll titles will play. I've deleted the app, reset Roku and reinstalled the app to try clearing the cache in case that was the issue.
Are there any fixes or workarounds a person could try?
Is crunchyroll working to repair the issue?

I too have this problem with my Insignia Roku TV, some episodes will play OK, others stall at loading.

But if I use my separate Roku-3 device plugged into an HDMI port on the same TV, everything plays just fine.

Are any of you encountering this when using a separate ROKU set-top box or HDMI plugin stick, or are all these instances happening just on TVs with Roku built in (Insignia, Hisense, TCL, Sharp, etc)?

I've been looking around for answers all morning. Saw in another thread the same thing asharka reports. Seems to be an issue with Roku tv's, I'm using a TCL Roku tv myself. Other users also reported Roku sticks working fine.
Seems like they're working on a fix despite their failure to update in any of these threads.
Guess I'm watching My Hero Academy on small screen today...

I'm having this issue on my roku tv as well; was interested in trying the Naruto sequel but it won't load for me

Yup. Some shows will load, others will not. And actually, some EPISODES of a show will work, and others will not. I got that with the new season of Blue Exorcist. For all these problems, I get the stuck Retrieving bar on my Roku TV. PS4/Computer work fine.
