I think all of Europe's getting a really bad deal. I'm in Germany and, compared to the US at least, our lineup isn't that impressive.

The problem in Europe is that there are local companies making deals with Japanese distributors and, since certain distros consider to make deals with local companies instead of Crunchyroll since they can earn more money, those JP companies give the licenses to those local distributors. That's why CR won't get more series than they can with worldwide deals.

MHA is a series provided to us by our friends at Funimation. Crunchyroll was never involved in the region or language licensing for that title, and we cannot influence those retroactively. This means that we will have to work with the regions/countries that Funimation were able to secure back when they licensed it.

And what the hell is the CR licensing department doing to expand to other regions? I understand that CR can't make more deals with old series due to profitability, but those are simulcast titles and popular franchises. Here in Latin America we can't watch them due to that, and now you're telling me that you won't do a thing for expand to Latin America? By this, it only shows how incompetent CR are in terms of territoriañ expansion and satisfying Funimation's desires for those series. For MHA and Attack on Titan.

If you won't get them for Latin America, that only confirms your incompetence to get those anime for our region nd the ones that aren't covered by any local distributor.

The entitlement from members around here...

Only just recently hit one million subs but you'd think CR was the size of and had the wealth of Netflix the way people act lol.

Only thing we can do is hope Viz Media will be nice enough to sublicense OPM to CR in the future. As for OPM season 2, don't count on CR getting it because I'm 98% certain that Viz Media will outbid every North American licensors to license it due it's ridiculously overwhelming hype and popularity.

Forget about OPM on Crunchyroll. Viz Media not only works with CR, but also didn't consider CR when they announced Boruto. So, unless Daisuki isn't dead at that time, its safe to say that S2 will be Daisukied too.

Where Finland is located in their licencing regions?

It's up to the licensor to decide what is in the "English-speaking region". If the licensor does not add Finland to that region, neither Funimation, nor we, can change that fact.

You're having this the wrong way around. If a series is licensed by Funimation, we are not involved in the licensing process at all. We can only sub-license from them what they have agreed on with the licensor in Japan.

Crunchyroll itself will always go for World ex. Asia for new titles, and we mostly manage to achieve that.

Great to see Boruto on Crunchyroll. Hoping to see Eromanga Sensei and Sakura Quest aswell, hopefully all watchable in the UK. I already know Natsume Yuujinchou season 6 won't be watchable in the UK after you removed Season 4 and blocked season 5.

They just don't need your money.

Actually, it's quite funny that people who want to support anime industry should face region restrictions while others can watch each title illegally without any problems.

Will crunchyroll have Natsume Yuujinchou Roku on the spring lineup? Last I saw it was supposed to start airing in Japan on April 11th.

After CR's "bitrate gate" there simply isn't enough here to get me to resubscribe after cancelling my auto sub this month. I dumped funi last spring due to their disastrous transition to a horrible app and months of their forums being offline with no communication. Later we found out it was due to a security breach that they only admitted after the story broke on Ann.

CR's opacity over bitrategate reminds me of that. Althouh we paid subscribors had noticed it and started threads in the premium forrum, cr only addressed it when they got called out on twitter. And then only adressed it on twitter rather than here. Unless CR stops treating paid subscribers like mushrooms by feeding us shit and keeping us in the dark, I will remain a free member. If the lineup doesn't look more appealing I'll remove the cr app from my phone and move on like I did with funimation last spring. I watch exclusively via my Chromecast and there are other apps I can use that space for.

CR will announce titles when they are ready to, so don't expect an individual response from them.

That said, they've licensed 5 of the past 5 series, so there doesn't seem to be much reason for concern.
