Anyone who has been above gold I feel loses interest. I have been above Gold for a long time and noticed each year I lose more interest to the point I let myself decay to gold last year and havn't played since. I honestly think though its Riot's fault and not just because the game has been around for a long time, I noticed for me and alot of people I know the game got less and less fun after new patches to where it was a chore to play. The Plat and low diamond players don't help because that is easily the most toxic spot to be in and it's the most sickening amount of people I have had the displeasure of playing with. I'm not even sure what it was exactly but last season killed the game enjoyment for almost everyone I know including myself.
I do still like watching some of my favorite players on LCS like the cuteHai and enjoy LCK and Madlife/Shy and other to see the aodrable Watch and Flame.
But other than that. meh.

As of early this year/last year
There are 100 million active monthly accounts. Assuming ~half are from people with multiple accounts, that's still 50 million. Which trounces everything except maybe Overwatch, dependent on where that is right now.
So no, LOL is not dead or dying, nor is it likely to die soon (especially with new Runes to makes things fresh again).

IGN is same as Crunchyroll name
NA
Usually get to Gold V
Overseas right now, so I'm not playing online games. Hit me up in a month if you want.

I think the total number of LoL players has decreased. Because I found my Bronze game is much harder than before. Hahaha.

I believe they did actually slightly "suffer" upon the release of Overwatch, but I'm sure plenty of people came back. Even if that isn't the case, they have like 1% of the human population playing at any given time which is a rather large amount of people.

GF and I can't get out of silver pls help somebody.
