a plague we are so over due for one. Or it will simply be nature correcting it self by some type of over due natural disaster that will bring us to the brink.

Oh I have no doubt nature will take us down a peg or two, but world ending? No, humanity is way too collectively self destructive to give nature the time to accomplish what we can do much faster.

What he said^^^. Nature will take it's shots at us, earthquakes, tsunamis, climate change (not the human influence on climate that people debate about, the planets natural climate cycling), solar flares, depleting O-zone. More likely a complete end will be human self-destruction, nuclear war, disease outbreak, poor resource management, degenerated agriculture, energy deficit, starvation, development of A.I. and a digitally dependent era.

How I imagine the planet will end or how I imagine civilization will end?

Planet: Burned up by the sun approx 4 billion years from now.

Civ: We'll hit a pinnacle of evolution/technology where we no longer can improve upon ourselves and look to evolve in some other form that can't be considered human anymore(at least not homo sapiens). That will start new civilizations across the galaxy or at least end the current form we know of.

Or we'll refuse to stop wars because it's profitable for the top 1% and we'll end up shifting the global political paradigm and end in a nuclear war that will kill 90% of us. The rest dies in the fallout.

If I'm reading Wikipedia's description of the Richter scale correctly, a magnitude 6 earthquake displaces the surface of the earth by a meter at a distance of 100 kilometers from the epicenter. That means a magnitude 50 earthquake would displace the earth's surface by 10^44 meters. Now, I can type that number, but that doesn't do it justice: the size of the observable universe is - uh - about 10^28 meters. So, if we were to compare the size of the universe to that of your apocalyptic magnitude-50 earthquake, it'd be like comparing the size of an atom to the size of the earth. Such an event would make even the word apocalypse seem pathetic. Again using the Richter scale page, it seems like such an earthquake would contain a paltry 10^69 joules - which is close to the mass-energy of all the atoms in the universe.

That thing isn't an earthquake. It's another Big Bang.

Well that beats mine. Death by black hole. I wouldn't want to go through a Big Bang.

Interesting touch-up on the black hole, time moves slower in them and they rip you apart, atom by atom, only a fun experience for masochists. I personally believe that the world will just.... die, like planets usually do. It'll boil up, the oceans will be no more (if we haven't already drained it all or polluted it to the point where we can no longer use it), and all creatures will die and turn to ash. And of course, the awesome explosion that I hope none of us will ever have to watch.

The most likely way for the world to end is through a sudden and enormous gamma ray burst. It would scorch our atmosphere and completely destroy any form of life on our planet in a matter of minutes.

My world will end when I die. For the Earth, when it losses all of its inner heat, atmosphere, and is frozen at 0 Kelvin.

WW3 starts after an ignorant fool pisses off the entirety of the world, leading to a nuclear winter before Mars colonization has been successful.

Jesus come backs, gives humanity one last chance. But, get crucified again. Because, his children thought he was a terrorist. God Facepalms one last time. And good by homosapiens. It was a nice run while it lasted.
