so, I have beenputting thigns away and buying things incase of emergencies, where ilive I get a lot of hurricanes and flooding, with my circumstances I wouldn't be able to leave so I have to huddle down in myhouse,
though why im making this thread is because of mymother and for help

she had a doctor who cut her foots nerves during surgery so she had a lot of nervepain, ontop of edema -I think I spelled that right?-her legs swell up and is on morphine
she also has a heart condition - same as mine but worse - and has to haveIV's twice a week for it,

this past month she ran out of her pain medicine which made me see she can only go about a week to maybe 2 without it

what should I do for a long term disaster? how would I be able to help her?

Put bluntly, she would be fucked. If you have serious reasons to worry about disasters and the like then I would suggest asking her doctor about possibly getting some sort of emergency backup you could stock up on. If that's not possible then, as scary as it sounds, there really would not be any real solution that I know of.

Octorockandroll is 100% right about your Doctor being the one to speak to. Here's a couple of checklists of things to ask him specifically about ...
