For the last two days I've been having trouble connecting to Crunchyroll overall. The anime lags, over and over, and I keep getting continuous errors whenever I try to access forums or other people's profiles.

At the first I thought it was my wifi so I didn't think much of it, but the other sites work fine. If this continues, I won't be able to watch anime here which beats the purpose of having a membership.

Any help or news, mods?

Crunchyroll isn't buggy so much as it doesn't work very well, as the support forum attests to.

The whole site is out-dated. It feels like to me ever since Shinji sold the company to some investment firm the site as a whole has gotten more anime, but customer support, and site quality has dropped significantly. They need to do something before someone gets tired of this crap and competitors get serious (Funimation can stop the deal they have due to Crunchyroll's terrible quality) and take over all their market-share. If Crunchyroll and Funimation had the same content, I would honestly go to Funimation. They are bigger and have better customer service and production that Crunchyroll refuses to expand. It's like ever since Funimation stopped directly competing with Crunchyroll that Crunchyroll's quality dropped well over 50%.

Crunchyroll seems to be taking the role of a monopoly now. They don't have any real competitors since Funimation dropped out of competing for licenses. Since they know we have no real option to leave if we want the anime for the season they just don't care what their customers say. Heck, I remember when I submitted a report the lead engineer / site administrator would personally reply to my report and help me troubleshoot. Now you get some lame robot auto-reply. No wonder they are so open to DDoS attacks, heck someone can shut their email servers down by creating a bot to auto-reply to their auto-replies and flood them.

It's like this every weekend...especially weekend nights. It started doing this a few months back, and I'm honestly not sure if there's anything you can do.

I normally only have trouble on the weekends, mostly when Super comes out, but this weekend was pretty bad. Getting that error or the video won't load or something. I got to watch it eventually, but holy crap it was annoying.

I would take issue with the part in bold. Certainly Funimation isn't bigger in terms of viewers, as their recently revealed user information leak made clear. (2.5 million user accounts vs. CR's 20 million).

It is questionable whether the company itself is worth more, although that is a bit harder to define as the data is more hazy. We know TCG's investment in CR apparently valued it at "less than $100 million", while when Funimation was sold by Navarre to the current owners, the cost was $24 million

Funimation staff is bigger is what I meant. They have more customer support and engineers.

If that is true, how come i'm waiting on a response from a tech ticket about their new site, since the day it lunched and i keep asking for a status update every week. That makes 3 months now of no reply?
