I have a Roku 3 and 4. The last 3-4 days at the least neither can play an episode of Blue exorsist for more then 30 seconds without having to rebuffer. Then takes 30 seconds to buffer.

Thought it was my internet connection but nothing else is affected. PC is fine and I can even stream the episode on my wifi on my phone and link it to the roku to play on the TV.

Agreed, I only watch on Roku and it's gotten so bad the last week it's just about unwatchable. I'm considering cancelling my subscription, and will do so if there isn't a fix soon.

I watch 90% on the Roku as well, and have been experiencing this to. Contacted support about this, and got only canned responses telling me to remove the device link, and link it to the account again, (which i did before contacting support, and mentioned in the ticket) and then my routers DNS needed to be changed to point to either Google or OpenDNS servers. I run an internal DNS that forwards all external reference to Google already, and my router server is already configured to use Google as my DNS. I have been so disgusted with the service that I can not even try to watch Crunchyroll without feeling disgusted at the level of support they provide to paying members. The ticket was to have been escalated to a second tier, and i was to be emailed by a manager about the problem this week. Which did not happen, so i belive it was filed in the circular filing bin. Crunchyroll has had over 2 weeks to attempt to try and fix the issue, or at least let us know what is going on. If i do not receive an update that include a resolution plan or explanation or the problem, i will be contacting the BBB and other regulatory agencies to file formal complaints against Crunchyroll (Ellation Inc.).

OpenDNS isn't going to help. I know this because I use their DNS servers already.

Its insane. I cant even watch it like this. I thought it was just me. All other apps are working fine so its a Crunchyroll thing.

I am making one final post in this thread that hopefully customer service will see:

As of this morning I have cancelled my premium membership. I have found places online to stream Naruto Shippuden that don't have buffering problems and also don't stick commercials in. I would have kept my sub for years to come because I believed in supporting this service but since I can't stream anything on Roku (or, as it turns out, on my PC when I tried that this morning) there is no reason to keep paying for membership. Very disappointing end to what used to be a satisfying relationship.

So unless you are in the US and are paying for commercial free Hulu, that translates to, "I have found pirate sites online".

Streaming sites are a gray area not strictly pirating.

I paid for years but since the paid service can't or won't provide me with access, I'll go where I can watch the shows I want to watch.

Crunchyroll's loss. If they wanted to keep my sub they'd not have broken whatever it is they've broken.

Illegal streaming sites are still piracy. They may not have video ads, but they still give money to criminals through other advertisements.

If crunchy wants the business then I guess they had better figure out WTF is going on with the roku app

Its absolutely insane. Unacceptable for a paid service. It dosent work. Thats a huge flaw. It seems to work ok during the week but Friday and Saturday nights are my anime nights and I am stuck in front of a computer because I cant watch on roku. If i wanted to watch on my computer chair id just watch a pirate site. I get that its just 7 bucks a month but come on. I pay that for the ability to watch on my couch on my big tv. If im going to have to watch my anime on a 20 inch monitor i might as well just use a pirate site. I dont want to but its just so ridiculous. Its literally unwatchable. It needs to be fixed and soon. Anyone have an official cruchyroll response on this?

At this point im going to just use Hulu Plus no commercials plan. Its more expensive but hey, it works which is a big selling point for me. They have AoT and My hero academia simulcasting. thats all i really cared about this season anyway. They also have a good enough backlog to get by. Id prefer it if crunchyroll would just FUC**NG fix the Roku app but it is what it is at this point. Sorry for ranting its just so G Darn frustrating.

Crunchyroll.... I have a subscription through 5/2/17. I will happily renew if this is fixed or even if there is some word that its being worked ong and a fix is coming.....but if its not im unsubscribing.

BBB complaint submitted this weekend, nothing will probably come of it though. It's probably going to take a mass premium unsubscription for them to fix the problem. You know, hit them in the pocket book. I also refuse to purchase from there store, I a local more customer oriented company.

You are obtaining copyrighted content that no one was compensated before. That is piracy, pure and simple.

I'm also getting this problem on my Roku 3. Not impressed, especially after the problems streaming some series a few weeks ago
