For the past couple of weeks I keep having an issue where the video buffers alot then freezes and then keeps on repeating the same few seconds of audio over and over(sometimes it loads when the audio catches up to the frozen video). I'm on T-moble, have 4G lte and I'm using a Google Nexus 5. Sometimes if I skip it fixes it but then it's back to this in about 2-10 minutes. I've tried reinstalling the app and restarting my phone but nothing helps. Netflix and youtube work fine. Any help here?

I've been having the same issue. I'm about to cancel my premium subscription. This happens so frequently that this service isn't worth paying for anymore.

Same issue. There was an update that fixed videos not playing at all for me, but it introduced that new bug of video buffering and looping.

Same issue, didn't use to have it, now it's occasionally so bad it's not worth watching anything. Only happens on my phone, computer is fine

Same issue on a LG G5.

It's been happening for weeks and it's definitely on CR's side not on mine. Hulu, Youtube, and Netflix all work perfectly fine. I downloaded the VRV app just so I could watch Boruto today. It was basically unwatchable on the Crunchyroll app and even on VRV it stopped to buffer around 8-10 times. It's just been an awful anime viewing experience lately.

I'm also having this horrible pausing, then the audio repeats, then you have to wait for the audio to catch up until the video resumes. Sometimes it recovers for a while then does the same. It's a painful viewing experience and I'm about to give up.

All other streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon are working just fine.

Are you just letting it play or are you skipping parts of the video at times, for example opening or ending?

Are you guys on WiFi or a mobile connection?

I'm on mobile. Usually I just let it play but if it starts this I tried moving it to get the video to work for a few more minutes.

Funny thing: it's working tonight

Same issue on my Galaxy S7 Edge. Seems like every weekend there's some problem with playback whether it's on Android or PC- it is really disappointing. I have a 150 Mbps down connection too and don't usually have buffering problems with Netflix or anything else on my phone on the same wifi.

Phone Model: Galaxy S7 Edge

I'm having this same issue on my galaxy s7 edge, but only while I'm using mobile connection. Sometimes it won't even unfreeze after it loops back, so I have to close the app, open it back up, go through the ads, and then just hope that it doesn't freeze in the same spot again.

I fixed the looping video/sound issue on mobile by disabling
T-mobiles Binge On service through the website. Not sure if that's an option for everyone but it worked wonders for me. Seems like a throttling issue.

If i disabled binge on then i would basically never watch anime on my phone since like 90% of the time i'm watching on my phone with mobile data :/ suck that that's been the only suggested solution so far.
