in the past it was ok but now it's only 1 series on 15 that are watchable ... why?

maybe it's because im addicted to the good ones but i find that these days the anime world is less and less interesting

"Good ones" is highly subjective.

Strange, I kind of have the opposite problem. This Winter season alone I've watched almost 30 shows... All of which I all enjoyed to various degrees.

Sorry but.... what do you consider Good? Everyone has their own standard

There has been plenty of stuff this season I really enjoyed, include some things I had originally dismissed.

I mean, definitly subjective. But there's so many good anime this season and last several seasons. Of course, me being younger and not having grown up on older anime makes me a biased... but of course you being older and have watched anime longer also makes you biased. You are probably very familiar with older styles within anime.

One reason is because new anime have lower frame rates.

Have you tried exploring other genres? Or use MyAnimeList, I watched several shows based on their recommendations.

Could it just be a bit of an illusion because bad anime is more accessible now? I mean back when I was a kid, if it wasn't on TV you weren't watching it, and networks can only put so many shows in their lineup.

Something Something opinions
something something subjective
What's the point of making these threads if they're just gonna be the same things repeated over and over? I feel like I've seen this exact thread so many times.

It's because you have...as have I . There is always lots of crap but I always find shows to watch. There's been plenty in the past and current seasons that have caught my interest and held it. Depends on your tastes.

This isn't one of those "nothing has been good since the 90's" threads is it?

I'm about your age OP and there was a lot of crap anime when I was a teen. This was pre-internet and I would gamble $30 on a VHS with about 90 minutes of run time. Things are so much better now with streaming services. But there's always 3-4 shows every season I really like.

I think because it's more accessible and there's more of it.

If they were being honest, it'd be "nothing's been good since the 80's".
