Finally back with another season. We get some recap which I somewhat expected even with the recap episode. Here's a kid Uraraka.

I can't unsee Viktoriya from Tanya the Evil.

Man its actually crazy how much cleaner the 2nd season looks compared to the original. You can tell that they definitely decided to pour a much bigger budget onto it..

Episode 1

Heey, glad to have MHA back!

I did see this episode as a warm-up on what is to come later down the road, so an okay start. Productions merits by Bones are as strong as ever, so I can only get excited for the big parts and how they will be animated.

Plus Ultra.

Decent startup episode, but nothing special. I liked this show a lot more than I though I would, but I am wondering if the cast has enough depth to keep things interesting. I should also note that for a show inspired by western superhero comics, we haven't seen a very strong cast of villains either. I'll just have to see where things go.

A little annoyed by the amount of recapping in this episode. I love MHA, but I really wish they would scale back a bit on the flashbacks.
Nevertheless, I'm pumped for the sports festival. Let's go Shouto!!

The first episode spent a little too long recapping things. C'mon Bones, you had a full recap episode and the first season only ended a year ago, our memory isn't that bad!

Aside from that, I missed seeing all those fun dorks in motion. There might be more than one cour this time, but I do hope they'll speed up the pacing.

Also, gotta tip my hat to Funimation on this one. Despite being released within hours of the japanese broadcast, their dub of MHA still delivers better than quite a few of their series that got looser deadlines. Christ Sabat's All Might alone makes it an anime where I'd recommand the dub just as much as the original.

The recap is episode 13.5 and Episode 14 is released along with the recap for premium subscription members. But the recap episode has new stuff in it.

Speed up the pacing?

The First season covered upto Chapter 21 and second season started there too , if they don't adjust the pace or edit the episode it will end up in the wrong cut of the story

This sports festival concludes around chapter 43, minus 1 omake chapter , so we can guess that this season will be the Sports Festival alone

, well maybe, this is not an ordinary sports festival after all

If Season 2 has 25 episodes then i would assume it'll adapt 30-40 chapters if the pacing follows
