The ED was weird and creepy in a good way. It's somewhat quiet and soothing with enough distortion to make it very unsettling. I should look up the lyrics. And I think we've all accepted that no AoT opening will top the first one.

I've been keeping up with the manga in the 4 year gap so nothing in the show will come as a surprise for me but it's still definitely worth following due to the aesthetics alone. It knows when to have intense OST playing and when to keep things silent to set the tone. The execution of the beast titan introduction alone was fantastic, props to the staff team.

I watched it last night. Honestly it was worth the wait. Loved the intro music. Linked Horizon is badass.

Attack on Titan is much more enjoyable in the anime than the manga

Oh boy. Reading the comments on Funimation makes me happy I decided to watch it here instead. I could have sworn Funimation was advertising this as a "dub the same day" kind of deal like My Hero Academia, but oh well. Seems like they have bigger issues with people having to dig around settings to even get the episode to appear.

OP looks like it didn't give too much vital information away which is nice for those who are anime only fans. Kind of a nice change of pace to the heavier OP's of Season 1.

I remember first reading the part with the Beast Titan.. scared me in the sense that there was a non-human (ape essentially) like Titan with intelligence AND could talk!? Titan Evolution!? . Seriously, though, everything it said created so much speculation (in addition to the titan's in the wall) about what's going on behind the scenes. Looking forward to see anime only fans views and opinions on this.

Isayama admitted that his art style and drawing is not very good compared to other manga authors but you got to praise the man for creating this phenomenal series and the anime just solidifies everything even better

I have to say, I didn't like the opening very much. I preferred the first seasons openings better. Maybe it will grow on me. I really enjoyed the ED, the imagery left me with so many questions!

Now that was a way to start off season 2! I really enjoyed the episode a lot and since reading the manga it was nice to see it in anime form. I was also impressed with the animation. It seemed like it improve quite a bit or maybe just my imagination? I wasn't a fan of the ending music it was hard to listen to but did enjoy the images.

I believe Attack on Titan is replacing Jojo's Bizarre Adventure on Toonami at the end of the month, so that's probably why Funi isn't releasing the dub right now.

That's the main reason why I haven't read the manga. To be fair though, at least it's not as jarring as ONE's art style.

Hopefully at the end of Season 2 there's an announcement saying that Attack on Titan will be back this Fall

Unlikely since Wit Studio has never done multiple anime at once and they're booked from October to at least the following June. They have nothing this Summer so this was their only chance to make this season 25 episodes but it seems they don't have many resources to spare. The earliest we can hope for a season 3 would be Summer next year unless they decide to take another break.

Yeah but Wit Studio also has their hands full on The Ancient Magus' Bride coming up this Fall and also Seraph of the End went split-cour during Spring and Fall 2015 season so i was hoping Attack on Titan S2 goes the same route as well. Guess i should blame Kabaneri for cutting AoT's supposed 25 episode budget in half reducing it to just 12 episodes

The Ancient Magus' Bride was what I was referring to when I said they would be busy this Fall.

Still hopeful that Season 2 will be a split cour and if not we don't need to wait many years for the next season to come back because this has been such a phenomenal mainstream anime
