Just been browsing random shows when I saw CR had the Conqueror of Shamballa movie available. Originally this was the direct follow on to the 2003 series but in recent years that series has just vanished with Brotherhood seeming to be everyone's replacement.... but... I watched both back in the day and even though it breaks away from the original manga I actually found I preferred the way the 2003 series went.

Love or hate what they did it was still a fantastic anime and it makes me wonder if there's any chance we could see it on CR? There's still an audience for it, if there wasn't the movie wouldn't be here!

I preferred the 2003 version as well (though I'd rather forget about the movie). I don't really know how all the licensing stuff works and whatnot, but whether or not the show would come to Crunchyroll all depends on that.

the 2003 series of fma was the first version i saw before i knew about brotherhood and that one followed the manga more closely but none the less i enjoy both versions the original 2003 i wish i could watch in full again as it's REALLY hard to find on net let alone a full box set of the entire series which is ever so rare i saw it once on amazon for $500

Back around 2005 I only managed to see it because someone had been making these great pirate box sets with fold out plastic disc inserts. I only kept it for a couple of years, swearing I'd get an official replacement but one never came!

Hopefully CR acquires the 2003 version and my FMA viewing experience is complete

Love. Love love love this series.

It is my childhood. (... I probably still remember some entire scenes by heart. Especially in the flashback arc at the beginning.)

I still have all (or most) of the single DVDs, but it should be streaming.

I need to rewatch it, but... I'm sort of scared it won't live up to my memories, but also sort of scared I'll get obsessed again.

I don't know...
