This must be the first episode to have two different story halfs. The first one, ah, it's ridiculous at times but amusing. Especially that pudding song.

For the record... The reason some of you may have "issues" with this show is that the Japanese sub is absolutely, horribly unwatchable (for once). It changes the tone of this show from a more "mature case study of Shintoism" feel that the animation/music would suggest, to "just another random ecchi" that may be offputting to some. For instance, the main character is of a female VA voicing a boy character...

Plus, all the other character VA have "super high and unnatural squeaky voices", even for kids. And they are all noob, with generally very short VA careers. The Zero-G anime studio that makes this is "new" to full production titles: It usually has been a secondary studio to other titles, such as last year's "...and you thought there never was a girl online?", and the like. IDK WTF the Japanese ADR was smoking when casting this; it is very strong and illegal indeed, but yes...

The solution, of course, is simple: FUNimation. Their dub is actually very good (finally), is in-line with expectations, and not too shabby at that. I suggest you check it out. Well, I guess even Japanese have to strike out at some point, it is so...

Episode 6

This episode Chisato gets asked out by someone and since she likes Kazuya turns the person down. However that doesn't stop him as he uses a dating game Tsukumogami to make Chisato fall for him. It works as Chisato ignores Kazuya but with the help of one of his friends tries to win her back and than messes it up. In order to win her back he uses some dolls that they use to play with when they were small.

Episode 7

Kukuri and Kokuyou are living at the park due to their shrine needing repairs. After a incident with some kids they lose their home and Kazuya brings them home to live with them. At first his dad is against it but after Kiriha threatens him by mentioning a certain day he agrees to them living with them. In order to buy curse forecast Kiriha forces Kukuri to get a loan from Kanayama a neighboring god but Kukuri doesn't mention what she has to do to get it. Turns out they have to play a game of concentration where there are some cards with weird penalties that benefit Kanayama since it's her game. In order to not suffer from the rest of the penalties they decide to cheat but in doing so they forfeit the game as they are not allowed to touch the cards when it's not their turn.

Episode 8

This episode has two parts the first one has Kiriha being force to help with dinner and they are asked by Kasumi to buy some stuff at the store. At the store Kiriha only thinks of pudding that when Kazuya doesn't want to get it for her she comes up with a pudding song to get her way. Kukuri who wants jello is to shy to ask but Kasumi added it to the list since she helped out with dinner. The second half has to do with one of Kazuya's friends somehow getting a harem out of nowhere. Turns out he became so popular due to some cologne he bought that became a Tsukumogami. In order for him to not suffer from the curse he decides to break the bottle and when he does the cologne opens and sprays all over Kazuya. Later at home all the girls in the house are attracted to him that they want to bathe with him and even Chisato joins them. In order to stop this from going to 3rd base he breaks the bottle that he took. His friends has to suffer from the curse for only a week.

Is it still an orgy when one of the two adult women is your sister and two girls are under 10 years old? This show...

Isnt it only an orgy if everyone is getting off? I think it was just him...not fair to the girls really.

I would argue that the youngest member was Chisato. So she is 14 at least. Kiriha and Kukuri only appear younger because of severe mana/magic depletion. And Kasumi has a severe brother complex. :D

I'd say temporary harem more than orgy, but then again I neither had an orgy or a harem; so I can only speak from my POV.

Yeah, so I finally got around to attempt to watch this. I read the manga, for a while now...and this is very saddening. I'm gonna have to check out the dub since it seems like that might be better. It's very disheartening so far.

Hope they release a figure of kiriha in her child form while wearing her normal outfit. I love how that looks on her.

It took ten episodes to fully appear but Sumeragi's here. And she's annoying me already. Punching Kazuya out of nowhere? What is wrong with her?

Putting that aside, Kiriha returned to normal? Cool. I almost got too used to it, almost as if she was short-sized from the beginning.

Sumeragi is indeed annoying. She's got a colossal chip on her shoulder. Yes, Kazuya is not as competent or strong as her. But what would any reasonable person expect? I'm not sure how much time has passed since Kazuya met Kiriha, but it couldn't have been more than a month or a few months at best. Whereas Sumeragi has been training for years; Kazuya's mother likely trained even longer to get to where she was. No one starts out as the best. Though I'm pretty sure she's doomed to fall into his harem; if not this season, then in (potential) future seasons.

Is Kiriha's form directly tied to her partner's mental or spiritual power state? As Kazuya gets stronger, she'll look more mature. With Kazuya's mother, Kiriha looked to have the physique of someone in their 20s or 30s. I wonder how quickly Kazuya can grow. It might look odd if he's still a teenager while Kiriha has the form of a 20-30+ years old.

So for reasons I won't go into, I got a little bit behind on some of my spring anime follows and am just now starting to get caught up.

This morning, I decided to start catching up on Tsugumomo beginning at episode 7.

...

Yeah, this is where I drop Tsugumomo like a hot stone.

I'm very disappointed, honestly. Back at the beginning, this really felt like an homage to action comedy series like Inuyasha and Tenchi, with some mildly ecchi harem-comedy elements thrown in.

The otaku with all the loli fetish costumes really should have been a warning sign. But even with that, it was still awesome enough to keep going, because that side of things didn't really intrude into the more Inuyasha-like aspects of the show.

Then we got the Concentration game, and the show just flat out abandoned all pretense of being anything other than squicky lolitrash.

I am thoroughly disappointed. I can deal with lolicon fanservice. I can't deal with this level of creep. Not in what's supposed to be a "clean" anime.

Dude. You can't even remotely begin to blame the problems with this show on the voice cast. Not when episode 7 is a massive cringefest of disgustingly creepy lolicon jokes. You can't blame the voice acting for everything that's wrong with the Concentration game or that creepy lolicon goddess.

This show flat out crossed the line from humorously ecchi into SICK. And it doesn't really matter if it's in Japanese, English, or Croatian, sick is sick.
