I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I certainly wouldn't really call it good and I could see myself forgetting all about it if I let it slip for a couple of weeks without watching every episode, but it's not all that bad. The CGI mix in this case also feels more natural given the subject matter than in some shows (Kado, I'm looking at you). It definitely does feel a lot like a commercial though.

Ep 1

I mean, there really isn't a whole lot to say about this one. It's not offensively bad, but I hardly think it was all that good either. I guess I enjoyed the modelling references, like the white stress marks left on plastic pieces when they are removed incorrectly. I actually own a couple of Frame Arms Girls so I'm sure I'll find some enjoyment eventually. Definitely not a must watch show by any means but sorta cute and entirely harmless. I find it funny how Ao is so halfhearted about everything.

I dont get all the hate, I thought it was great. The comedic timing was also great. I chulckled a few times, more than i could say for other comedic shows this season. I will def be watching, I thought the MC (Ao) was good to, seems like an average likable girl. The action although short was really well done. I am not one of those solid CG haters but i cant watch full on CG. This was a well balanced hybrid. I mean I gave Handshaker about 5 episodes so I know I have an open mind, that show was just awful and had less hate than this. I dont get it.

Plus I love striped cotton panties!!!

I think you are right. This show is mocking the main characters of bosou shinki by having the mc be clearly careless and somewhat disinterested. Having things like having parts stepped on or rice dumped on characters contrasts with the fetishism some shows do.

I think taking an otherwise uninterested character and introducing them to some subject matter is inevitably going to feel like a marketing ploy. I lost interest somewhere around the 10 minute mark when they kept dumping terms that mean nothing to me. Probably didn't help that the CG in the OP had me losing interest before the show even started.

Well that escalated quickly. Still enjoyable on some levels but episode 2 really felt like it dragged. Both segments, the second one especially, felt like they just went on way longer than they should have.

Ep 2

A girl on girl kiss on the second episode!? Yuri moments were cute, but Baselard is easily the best character among the Frame Arms Girls. I don't know what Ao was thinking when she left her toy friends in the same building as a roomba. Even if they didn't cause a giant mess I would just be scared of the thing sucking up tiny parts. Anyway, I'm having enough silly fun to stick around and I doubt that'll change.

Episode 3

Oh finally this show decides to explore outside of Ao's personal space (aka her house) and show more of her school life.

Not surprised that some of the frame girls decides to tag along on their own little adventure. Personally, I think this episode was more fun to watch compared to the previous two. It's like an adventure for these frame girls even though it's just a school they're going to. Funny how some of them manage to cause some trouble too. And be aware of crows!

Action was okay. Pretty fast paced even for CGI. I'm not a fan of it but it is what it is.
