Glad I wasn't the only one who had that sort of reaction.

There are some really interesting ideas here, and maybe we'll even get to them someday, but the show is so slow, lifeless and clinical in the way it's doing everything so far. It's like Haruki herself is producing the show. Despite the show seemingly wanting or even expecting me to be invested in the situation and characters I was just bored. I can get with a good drama. Heck, two of my favourite shows from last season were dramas, but this was just not interesting despite the interesting elements.

Oh man, if you want to see this shitshow done right check out Tsukigakirei. It's not a show I'm likely going to watch week to week but it is definitely worth checking out for how similar yet far superior it is to Reset so far. It's not a 1:1 comparison mind you, Tsuki doesn't have the same grandiose thematic ideas Sakurada Reset has (or claims to have anyway) but if you want to see a show that goes for similar character and story beats as Reset, minus the superpowers that barely featured in the first episode anyway, but pulls it off with actual competence and know-how then watching the first episode is definitely a cool experiment.

Ep 1

For all the intrigue that the powers and settings promise, I can't help but feel disappointed by the result of the first episode. It just felt so lifeless. I'm not entirely sure whether it was the voice acting or the expressions of the characters, but something was missing and it resulted in a boring mess. The last minute or two were decent enough at building some anticipation for the next episode, but Haruki is hard to deal with. A rough premiere in my opinion, but still plenty of time to improve.

Episode 2

Kei has figured it out that the Mari she sees is actually a clone created by a special ability user. So she is to be taken in by the Bureau, and a reset is in order. So here, Sakagami uses her ability on Mari's mother and she is being followed around, while Misora meets up with Mari in the hospital. And that got Mari's mother to finally embrace her daughter.

So now that is squared away, there's the matter of Sumire as she dropped by Kei's place, but she dies and because Misora had used her reset that nothing can be done. Pretty sad stuff that was as that drove Kei and Misora to using their abilities together to solve mysteries going on.

Episode 2

This was better than the first episode. It's still very dialogue heavy with drama but I think I'm getting the hang of it now.

Really curious to see if any character plans to use their abilities for malevolent purposes though. Why do I have a feeling that we may see Sumire again? Or rather, I think she's going to be mentioned a lot. I'd love to see her past too.

The kiss was awkward. While I think the show is attempting to build character relationship between Kei and Misora, I can't feel much about them yet.

Much better second episode here. I wouldn't say I'm completely on board yet but I'm definitely more interested now. I do hope that things get a little less convenient in the future though as that was one thing that really did bother me about the plotting in this episode. It's like they just somehow found a set of students whose abilities just happened to perfectly work together in just the way that they needed to in order to "solve the mystery."

I'm also not a fan of Kei at all. For someone who is supposedly so virtuous, he's coming across to me as more of an ass who's willing to use others just to get things the way he wants them. That may well be intentional though and, if so, they're doing a good job of it.

Great episode with lots of heavy drama and intense dialogue coupled with a progressing character relationship between Kei and Misura

What happened to the episodes on Anime Strike/Prime? Did they remove them all or something?

Was just about to say the same thing. Sentai said the new episodes are at 11:30 AM, but went to look and all the episodes were gone.

Episodes 1 and 2 still show up on a fire TV stick, but not in a browser. No sign of Episode 3 though.

Edit: Now there...

Episode 3

Seems like another simple request to use reset to save a cat from being road killed. But there is a lot more to it as some of Kei's classmates were acting differently, and Murase has some other objective in mind. As it turns out, Minami was killed during the reset, so now there's another mystery to be solved. There was something awfully suspicious about all this, and that's exactly what it is.

Weird case this week about the cat.

At least we're introduced to new characters. The glasses girl at the end gave me a very strange vibe with the way she just flew. Eh, this week's case felt dull overall imo. Hope the next one will be more intriguing.
