For prior conversation in anticipation of the show, see /forumtopic-976693/boruto-anime-project-update-confirmed-as-tv-series-anticipation

The series is off to a nice start with an introduction to the new generation of Leaf ninjas and how the village has transitioned to modernization and it definitely gives you Part 1 Naruto kind of vibe.

Although I haven't watched the show, I got that impression from the manga--which I liked the first few chapters of a lot, like the new generation characters a lot (especially Sarada). Unfortunately that feeling didn't stick for me in later chapters, which is why I'm probably not going to watch the show.

(But maybe I'll keep my eye on this thread to see if what people are saying a few episodes in convinces me to try it. I sometimes do enjoy anime when I didn't enjoy the manga -- My Hero Academia would be a good example of that.)

Good introduction with the characters and provides us with a peek of the Leaf's progress towards modernization with the spirit of being a ninja unchanged. Boruto is off to his great misfits again reminiscent of his father's academy days. This is definitely the next generation alright but with the Part 1 Naruto atmosphere intact. Overall a great pilot episode

Don't wait, just watch it! What if this series becomes a long runner also? Then in the future you would be like it's too long for me to catch up. Though I have no idea how long this will be, but it's just an example. There could be so much progress in this series, isn't it better to watch it and experience it yourself, rather than waiting for people's input?

I was really looking forward for watching Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.
Not only because I am big fan of Naruto, but I wanted to see what they would produce. Knowing that the Boruto manga first few chapters cover what happened in Boruto: Naruto the movie, it seemed this was going to be an Anime original. Which was fine by me if it was entertaining enough. But what would everyone else thing of this?

The OP was very colourful and I was eager to hear more of KANA-BOON song “Baton Road”. Personally I enjoyed the OP and it’s one of these instance when it get’s me excited to watch the episode. Keeping with the music side of the things, co-composed by Yasuharu Takanashi and -yaiba- once again, but they took a different approach than what they created in Naruto Shippuden. With the different approach of OST, I still think it suited what was shown.

I like how the anime is having an original story set a little bit before chapter 700 of Naruto and before the Boruto movie/ manga. I love the energy of the first episode (reminds me of part 1 Naruto); it makes me super nostalgic!

I think it would be fair to say that the anime is occurring post chapter 700 of the Naruto manga, but before Boruto: The Movie and the Boruto manga given Boruto's utter disdain for his father's work which is gone by the end of the movie. And I'm not sure that he's consciously using that power but rather it's just something that's innately happening in the show. At least that's my take on it.

A new TV series. How many episodes? Iunno. There is not that much manga, so I imagine filler.

The horror!

So who is the blue / purple haired girl in the opening? Could it be Mitsuki. Would not surprise me he pulled a stunt like that.

I will probably be in late 30s when this ends.

Oh well. Hopefully the next episodes are great.

how many chapters did Kodachi sensei wrote the story already .

It looks like the anime has an idea how the main event looks like by introducing at the beginning of the TV series with the Leaf country

It was fun though, a mini Shikamaru etc , the country looks more like a city in Japan and it feels like the beginning of Naruto many years ago. Animation is pretty good .
But my thought now is that there are now a lot more of intermarriages between the ninja country and between ninja clan and the children has mixed abilities and therefore stronger than their parents.
Seeing the older Konohamaru made me smile especially when his sentence ends with a "Kore" and still wear the blue scarf
but it looks like Boruto series is going to be a sadder progression if the studio wants to go that way
