With Naruto Shippuden, they also started the series in medias res, as well. But, because that was about 7 years ago, most people have forgotten. The first episode started with Naruto, Sakura, & Captain Yamato trying to convince Sasuke to return back to the Hidden Leaf Village, then Sasuke used his Sharingan to enter Naruto's mind & disrupt the Nine Tails Fox's chakra.

After that opening scene, it rewinds all the way back to when Naruto arrived back in the Hidden Leaf Village, & meets everyone again after being gone for around 2 1/2 years. Then, the story shifts to the Akatsuki raiding the Hidden Sand Village in an attempt to kidnap Gaara & steal the One Tailed Beast from him. That story arc section went for the entire first season until the series caught back up with the opening scene, a season & a half later.

So far, it looks like Boruto will be following the same overall formula.

I really like the show. I have not read the manga yet. I can not imagine this running as long as Naruto . They are modernizing the area. It will take a lot to keep a action packed ninja theme in a modernized city.

I like the show a lot, but I hope all the school season ends soon, because its really weird how they are handling this "academy" the kids are like in the graduation age of the old academy, boruto masters the graduation jutsu, and they are already learing how to summon, they're basicaly in the level between a genin and a chunin but with a lot of differences in skills denki for example is the only one to don't have any ninja skills and the other ones are really stronger than any of their parents in the academy. Thats the only thing that I dislike from the show.

I REALLY REALLY hope we get past this Naruto is an overworked Hokage with no time for his family thing. It was annoying in the movie and it's even moreso in the show. I get that Boruto is the main character but this honestly feels like a BS way to pretend that the last 17 years or so we've had with Naruto are all for naught.

In all likelihood, it's going to run as long as the Boruto manga spinoff runs. Count on seeing it stick around for at least a few years.

You know how the first arc of Dragonball Super follows the first movie and expands it? Same deal here.

The whole idea here is to introduce fans to the way the ninja world has changed since the War.

Depends on how popular it is and how much pressure the Japanese publishers put on the mangaka to keep it going. And whether or not the anime lasts the full run of the manga. Worst case scenario, it Korras out at about 80-100 episodes, covering roughly the same amount of material as the original Naruto anime with half the filler.

And this week a new character appears who is the child of an older character from Naruto and they share the exact same personality traits as the parent. They might as well have just done a reboot of Naruto because that's really all this is plus Naruto/Sasuke shipping fantasies.

I think the show is starting off great, it'll be cool to see how the characters develop throughout the series but I kinda wished they would've have taking some of the elements from the movie...

So far I like it, but it just is filling in the nostalgia hole that Naruto left behind. I mean what else can the manga/anime go from where Naruto left off honestly? I'll watch it because, why not....but there really isn't anything here that hasn't already been done by Kishi the first time.

I don't know where to post and there is nothing specific enough to be user friendly, so I'm posting it here.
Maybe it'll open the eyes of those taking care of the Customer Support.
I use galaxy 7, Android 7 (latest update).
Wanted to watch the last episode of Boruto.
It won't play. Error.
While every single other video will play normally.
Please help do something about it.

(I really do not appreciate having to post on here. I apologize to everyone for the disturbance, however, it is very unclear and it simply seems to redirect me towards here, on the forum. I don't have the time to look for this. If I can't watch my anime, I have a shit ton of other things to do...)

I mean the anime is going in the correct direction. I think they should have at least waited one more year so the manga had a further lead. On the other hand they didn't really need to create a manga to do boruto.

I tried the first couple of episodes as several anime reviewers on youtube I generally respect were giving it favorable reviews. And I just don't get the praise. It's badly written nostalgia bait. Watching it feels like I stumbled into some Naruto fan-game where players choose from a pre-selected assortment of iconic ninja looks and traits, and each questepisode is based off some character centered filler arc. It doesn't even feature the crass humor that made the early Naruto episodes amusing.

i never got through all of naruto but i am still able to pick this up so far I have to say right now i think Sumire aka Hinata 2.0 is a good fit for Boruto i think she is better for him than any of the other girls especially Sarada

I think its building up to the first Villain as we have observe these weeks. I can't wait for them to introduce Sasuke and him becoming Boruto's mentor. I wonder if we will see more episode with Naruto and his son in the summer like more interaction between both although I know Boruto does not like take him seriously.
