This week's episodes did not progress as much as last week but it looks from the preview that the plot is finally going to kick into gear next week. Does anyone have any thoughts on what that monster that appeared might be? It reminded me of the juubi (ten-tails) when I first saw it, so I ended up wondering what it might be.

I like the show a lot, but I hope all the school season ends soon, because its really weird how they are handling this "academy" the kids are like in the graduation age of the old academy, boruto masters the graduation jutsu, and they are already learing how to summon, they're basicaly in the level between a genin and a chunin but with a lot of differences in skills denki for example is the only one to don't have any ninja skills and the other ones are really stronger than any of their parents in the academy. Thats the only thing that I dislike from the show.

It kinda makes some sense if you can assume that the kids were being trained by their parents from a young age. Compared to Naruto Boruto actually seems to have inherited a brain. He's more of a competent class clown than the true idiot his father was

I have an theory.

What if the intro from episode 1 was actually an clip to an future episode where Boruto is in a movie about the destruction of the hidden leaf village and that Kawaki and Boruto are just actors in the movie. We know there are movies in the Naruto universe with Boruto recently going to an movie in episode 8.

It just doesn't make sense to destroy the entire village as the show revolves around ninjas protecting their village. If the entire village is destroyed then what is Boruto suppose to do roam around the world? I doubt any of the fans will watch that. Naruto dying is ok since he is no longer the main character but an secondary character. But it seems quite stupid if he did. For one thing Naruto has beaten Kaguya Otsutsuki and Momoshiki Otsutsuki who are basically considered gods in the shinobi world. Yes Naruto had help from Sauske when fighting Kaguya and Boruto was actually dealing the final blow to Momoshiki. Naruto has also beaten Toneri Otsutsuki.

We know for one thing is that to able to use that new eye power you need to an descendant of Hamura and have the blood of a Byakugan user.

I feel like so far they are doing better than the original Naruto did in my opinion. So far we have better character development and connections I personally don't mind filler if it builds the characters which Naruto and Shippuden did poorly on. I feel like when it moves on after all this prequel stuff it will have a good base

Finally caught up with the show. So far it's been pretty solid with the most recent episode providing payoff for everything the arc has been building up to.

I do wonder how this will connect with existing Boruto stories, since Boruto seems like he should be more mature than he was in the movie (especially considering the ways this arc might end.)

Wow, this thread died. Is nobody watching, or is there just nothing anybody wants to discuss?

Anyway, this week's Sarada focus episode was really good. Sarada is my favorite Boruto character, but I have a thing for her archetype. The new ending animation is depressing and makes me sad. Poor Sarada-chan. T_T

Also, Sarada is scary when she's just flat out had enough of this shit. XD

There might be more activity in the comments section for the individual episodes. I've seen that happen before.

Well, that, and it's still kinda Naruto, really. It's the salad bar of the anime world. It's something that's at the restaurant, but it's not a feature dish. It's just kinda always there, always been there.

While I feel super bad for Sakura and Sarada who have to put up with his bullshit, I'm super into the idea of Sasuke growing up to be an emotionally-dead, scumbag dad.

Kinda don't like that I'm enjoying Boruto, considering how much trash I talked about it before it aired....

So I guess I should stick to this thread then since I wanted to start one and got someone perhaps upset, ANYWAY....

Boruto is doing good developments, and little by little the anime is catching up with the manga, Now i understand Boruto's feelings as the days go by, but feel Naruto is by all means justified, he is the Hokage after all, he does give time to family, but I guess Boruto wants to be with him more often. It is the complete reverse of Naruto, now this story has an Uzumaki family and it's different to see the reactions and developments with characters like Naruto and Boruto!

For those who didn't/haven't read it, this arc is following the post-finale mini-series manga arc done prior to the real start of the Boruto Manga. That being said, I won't spoil anything else.

What I really liked is the slow burn of Sarada getting her Sharingan & not realizing it. She was actually reading the text stating exactly why & how members of the Uchiha Clan get their powers & not understanding it's the same thing she's going through.

So, the Senju continue to grow through experience & friendship, while the Uchiha continue to grow through suffering & strife.

When Naruto activated Sage mode with Kurama mode in episode 20, all I could think of was - "Yes! All them haters saying Naruto couldn't do it anymore, yes"!

The tragedy of the Uchiha Clan continues. Sarada gets her Sharingan, but because Sasuke hasn't seen his daughter since she was born, he doesn't even recognize her & instead thinks she's part of the group that attacked him. So, he does the only logical thing he can think of, & treats her as a potential threat...

I really do hope the Uchiha Clan finally finds a way to end their cycle of suffering.

Can someone please explain the Cho Cho love to me? I find her to be egotistical, annoying, and obnoxious, but I keep running across people that praise her. What do Cho Cho lovers see in her? If she has redeemable qualities, I want to like her.

So apparently Boruto isn't canon to the Naruto lore and is being written as a spin off series? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm honestly happy if it isn't canon but don't care either way. What do I start with lore wise?

Do it this way? Read Naruto Gaiden>Watch Naruto: Boruto The Movie>Read Naruto Road to B>Read Naruto Road to B 2>Boruto Next Generation or what? I'm confused with all this?-_-

I'm trying to get back into the show and all this material isn't helping things.

P.S Sorry for making the thread Loreen, didn't see one before! 8D
