Enjoyed that episode - Utaha and Eriri arguing is always entertaining, especially with Utaha's subtle-yet-not-subtle digs.

Ending was a nice way to show their bonding, if only they had a spare sig going.

Regardless of Utaha being best girl, MC-kun isn't a great catch though

Loved episode 0. But of course, it was just the fanservice episode so we can get around to the good stuff for the rest of the way.

It was good fanservice at least! And entertaining besides. So glad this show is back but so sad I have to go dark side to watch it.

Episode 0 to me was cool because it's set in Odaiba so I recognized the outdoor scenes.

Some comparisons to pics I took last November:

Fuji TV building as seen from Odaiba waterfront at the base of mini Liberty:

Obviously the camera placement is different because from here, I'm only at the start of the stairs where the anime is past the middle:

View of Rainbow Bridge with Tokyo Tower, and mini Liberty replica

I took this from the shopping center where MC and Utaha ate at so it had all three:

The walkway that goes in front of Liberty

Since you're a LL fan like me, I have some pics of Honoka's neighborhood too if you haven't been there already:

@nanikore2 I lived in Tokyo for a while so I've visited the LoveLive locations and some other shows but not Saekano so those are great to see, thanks! I saw Tokyo Tower of course but never from those vantage points.

No way in hell I am gonna give in to two layer payment to watch anime... I like amazon but screw their greedy schemes...

Time to pull out [censored] site and screw them up. I don't like to do it, but sincerely, their greediness made me, lol.

Disappointed this is only available on Amazon.

I avoid Amazon at all costs. The questionable employment practices followed up by even dodgier business ethics mean it's a big no from me.

I'd rather support a pirate site than give a penny to Amazon.

For some reason, this episode is already up, but it's still not up yet on the Japanese site. For two weeks in a row, they didn't go up at the same time in both places.

Episode 2

This episode is all about decisions. Utaha is finished with her script, and has quite a big decision on her hands as she could attend a school in Kansai whose program is highly prestigious, or she could attend school in Tokyo with a very good program, but without the prestige that she's worthy of. There's that decision that she wants input from Tomoya. Then there's another decision as she revised the script and that totally changes the tone of the game with Eriri not exactly pleased with the need to do lots of extra work to accommodate it. Tomoya sure does have a huge decision on his hand, and seeing that this kind of disagreement went on in the previous episode that it figures to resurface somewhere. So the next question is what will Tomoya do?

I'm very sad this is only available on amazon and it's a US-only. As I've said before and I'm sure many media companies are aware, region-blocking doesn't work. If there's a show on crunchyroll or netflix that I wanna see but is not available in my region I'll just pirate it. I and millions of other people are willing to pay for convenience and to support the creators or show we like, but media companies choose to ignore that and force us to pirate.

I wanted to see what Saekano would do with a second season, so here I am. And Bobduh was right - being aware it's a crappy harem show doesn't make it any less crappy. Utaha is like a dumb version of Senjougahara - like if you sucked out Senjougahara's soul. Eriri is at least somewhat believable in that she's a frank character, though she's overwrought. I don't feel like I've been given any reason to care about Michiru, Tomoya, or anybody else, or the fate of their project. It's like I'm just watching Megumi watch a harem show. Megumi would be interesting, but she's just going along with everyone for no real reason - almost like someone paid her a ton of money to put up with them.

I prescribe for Saekano Flat a full dose of White Album 2: relationships don't just float like they are here. Tomoya needs to fall for someone accidentally; hopefully Eriri, as she at least seems real (obnoxiousness is absolutely real). Then we watch the circle fall apart and the game fail. Not gratuitously, but steadily. Then Megumi would actually have a purpose: she tells Tomoya that what's important is the people, not the game; that's been her outlook the whole time. Tomoya learns this, builds a good relationship with Eriri, and the show ends. That'd actually be satisfying, and true to life. What we're actually going to get is 10 more episodes of Tomoya refusing all the girls' advances and dedicating himself solely to the game. For that's the show's only appeal: titillating its viewers with its unnaturally stagnant relationship diagram, like the solidified ash of Pompeii with its human-shaped holes. Utaha will joke in the last episode that Tomoya is supposed to have chosen one of their routes already, and that'll be it.
