Just finished a long session with my psychologist we talked about why i prefer fantasy over reality when it comes to facing daily life and we got onto the topic of piece and society.

My argument was society is too peaceful in some ways and not enough in other ways.
we restrict freedom to things that don't hurt anyone because of "Morals"
We restrict freedom to own weapons or hunt or even old things like fighting people (duels) because "its might hurt someone"

Anything some of us want to do or have a compulsion to do a need of sorts we are told we cannot do because it will hurt ourselves.

We are forced into 9-5 jobs working in cubicles with nothing to do just to go home and sleep then repeat with nothing more to do.

Personally i have always hated this as someone who has an innate urge to explore and fight (two things that i can't do in real life ) (1. everywhere is explored 2. Fighting is illegal where i live because NANNY GOVERNMENT)
as someone not able to fulfil two base needs of my personality i have found myself going to computer games and such to fulfil them and becoming well not addicted but spending most of my time on them because the world outside is too peaceful and mundane.

I'm not to say that i want a war to break out but one of my most exciting and happiest moments in my town was when the flood hit it was sad and horrible but in it's own way a breathe of fresh air and a release from the peace i and everyone else were forced to have for so long.

I honestly whilst i think peace is great don't think everyone is cut out for it some people need adventure , violence(fighting) and some chaos in their life otherwise they get depressed and start to hate life and the world in general.

Those are just my thoughts on it i shared those with my psychologist and for the most part he agreed with me fully and even added his own thoughts and went so far as to share he actually feels the same at times.

No offense dude but I really don't think that having looser laws is going to make your life much more exciting or fufilling

You basically described fight club with a slightly less anarchist angle

I just don't see it. I mean out of drugs, sex, owning illegal pets, you think that fights are going to significantly make your life better? It might offer a cheap thrill but it's gone quickly and you'd need a significant amount of people that want to kick your ass or want their ass kicked and it's just such a stupid idea man tbh sorry but like ...

Most of the thrills life has to offer are completely legal. Just because your criteria is very limited doesn't mean laws should be looser. I mean have you ever considered travelling? Sure most of the world's surface has been covered and explored, but there's places still new to you. Looking at photos and being there is completely different. And believe it or not there are a few islands not explored yet.

I don't know dude when I read these kind of posts it's like I imagine a scrawny 13 year old who wants to be manly tough and interesting because he's bored with life. Like we're all bored by life at some points but this is just crazy thinking.

Again, not trying to be rude I mean believe me I can understand life can be boring but I guess from my perspective I feel beneath most people, just having a normal life seems interesting enough. You don't know what you got till it's gone, laws make you able to do most interesting things in this world. Just because they don't come to mind like punches doesn't mean they aren't there. Search for something you enjoy.

You could always try moving to some war ravaged country in the Middle East or Africa... I'm not sure how eager for violence you would be after a truly serious fight and you just end up in the hospital for months/years (or dead). It works in fantasy or fiction, since those guys have great recovery time or even resurrection/save points.

I very much enjoy having a quiet and peaceful life. "We are forced into 9-5 jobs working in cubicles with nothing to do just to go home and sleep then repeat with nothing more to do." That sounds pretty bleak, but on my case, I have plenty of things to do after work (sports, eating out, watching anime/movies, swimming, picnics, cycling, etc.)

Society too peaceful? lol.
Morals =/= Laws.

Your problem is you do what you're told. You put yourself in a box thinking "i have to behave, I have to work a 9-5 in order to succeed." and that's exactly the mentality they want you to have, congratulations.

1. everywhere is not explored, that's your small view of the world. You understand we've only drilled 8 miles into the earth and haven't even touched much of the ocean yet? Not to mention for some reason Google Earth continuously changes the shapes of islands and continents making me think that either Google is doing something funky, or our landmasses can actually change shape over a few months. Lets not forget, you didn't explore shit, so why does that stop you from exploring? Keeping yourself in a box lol.
2. Fighting is only illegal cause it's usually drunk carebears who sue after they get a scratch. I also feel like your idea of fighting is dumb bar fights, rather than squaring up with someone in a real fight.

If you want to fight, join Hockey like I did. You get to lay out people with all the power you have, get in fights, then go and have a beer together afterwards. You could even go into any form of boxing/kickboxing/taekwondo etc.

Your limitations are only set by you, no one else. Don't blame society. Your world view is small, try traveling. Maybe go to Capetown in Africa, it'll open your eyes.

Are you still honestly hung up about the loli porn just get over it. I feel like you need to figure out what your purpose in life is. If you have no purpose at all you're just wasted space. You can do a lot more than you think but you constantly hold yourself back. Soon you will be a grown ass adult spending his days in chat rooms and living off other people. You're obviously bored and looking for excitement. Nothing wrong with that but your psychologist was right you're way too preoccupied with fantasy.

I have never had the urge to become violent with anyone. I don't think violence solves anything but make matters worse. I can understand self-defense and fighting for your country but you're hoping for riots and floods, I mean come on.

Lmao mate you think that's what I'm talking about that's sad also cool you don't have that urge but some of us do have the urge to fight we should have the outlet to release it I feel.

I'm not hoping for floods I'm saying its that peaceful that floods are exciting then yeah there is a problem there if floods are exciting a tragedy shouldn't be exciting the only time it is is if there is a lack of anything else interesting

My purpose in life is to explore places that haven't been explored and fight but I can't do either of the things my life calls for so in left unfulfilled

Yes I follow laws as I don't want to be punished .
I don't want to explore the sea or into the earth I want to explore a surface where no one has ever seen but if I'm wrong and somewhere hasn't been explored I would like to know as I would love to travel there with a few mates but if it's already been explored then their is nothing of interest to learn and share no knowledge to be found.

2.i agree and no I feel a one on one fight with some rules and actual fighting style behind it is better.
Martial arts make for good sparring also does fencing etc but where I live as you said people would sue once they lost

My world view may be small but I don't want to explore just for the sake of knowledge I also want to find knowledge no one knows and report it back and discover something bigger then myself.

I guess though as you said the best option for such things is ocean and earths crust but I don't think we have the technology for either just yet I may be wrong that being said once we have the technology I would sign up in s heartbeat

I understand that last part but not everyone will be getting their dream job due to circumstances. I feel you don't have enough experience in doing much of anything to be able to determine that you will be left unfulfilled. Like I said, get out there and start figuring out other options. Usually people don't go to war saying, "I want to kill people". So it's a little odd you want to do those things but I'm not judging that hard. We don't always get what we want but making excuses won't change much.

You CAN do what you want. What you want isn't limited to two things dude and if it is ... that's sad.

There are other ways of capturing thrills other than waiting for natural disasters to happen. Music festivals, amusement parks, sky diving, sporting events, etc etc. Just gotta see what's out there.

As far as fighting goes, you could always join a martial arts school/class.

true I'll need experience to do those things if they ever come into possibility (we colonise a new world maybe ) I know what I like I have worked over 10 jobs and tried hundreds of hobbies only gaming has left my satisfied in life other then what I truly want out of life.
Your right making excuses changes nothing but it is annoying having nothing your interested in doing.

What I want to do will most likely be possible in 60 years just not now so it's a wait and hope I guess
