Description:
Kojirou Shindou. Cabinet Office Director-General for Policy Planning, is at Haneda Airport for a business trip.

While the plane is on the runway, a giant structure suddenly appears out of thin air. The plane carrying Shindou and 251 passengers is taken undamaged inside the giant structure. After everyone disembarks, a man who looks like an ordinary human being shows up. He assures those from the plane that they're not in any danger. Shindou asks him to identify himself and explain the situation. Then the outside of the structure is displayed on a large screen, and at the same time, every passenger's cell phone starts ringing all at once. On each cell phone screen is a message from this man, to every one of Japan's citizens: "I, Yaha-kui zaShunina, hereby notify you that I am going to intervene in Japan's internal affairs."

What is this young man's goal? And will Shindou manage to become an intermediary between Japan and the Anisotorons

Since episodes 0 and 1 are out on Crunchyroll offically, I'm starting the discussion.
I like how they showed Shindo's abilities off in his natural environment before the plane gets sucked into the cube. One of my favorite premieres of this seasons with its slow pacing and world building.

Episode 0

Shindo sure is a shrewd negotiator. He was able to keep Osakabe in business as he came up with a supermetal that could revolutionize the manufacturing industry and now he has support from his old friend Igarashi and the cabinet office. Pretty nice way to set things up before all hell breaks lose with that cube coming out of nowhere to swallow the flight. One thing I was appalled by, however, is the way CG is used here as it's pretty inconsistent with some characters in CG and some not.

Episode 1

Pretty much, this episode is all about those outside the cube trying to figure out what's going on inside that thing. Shinkawa sure is an energetic scientist there, and in the end Yama-kui and Shindo walk out on top of it. Shinkawa sure is a genius for using robots and weapons to figure out just what the deal is with those walls as there's just no knowing what will happen. Anyway, this show certainly has a lot of intrigue as lots of questions have been raised, such as what exactly is going on inside the cube, and what Yama-kui's deal is.

This character will probably be the main focus of the season. Strange start so far, the premise sounds familiar but I can't recall. The CGI stuff wasn't that distracting to my surprise. I think the show has some potential? I'm not really sold on it yet.

The CGI doesn't sell me on this one, but the premise and characters do since everything feels explained in detail and such. I'll def be keeping an eye on this one!

The CGI was jarring at first, but I got used to it quickly.

Impressive start so far and gotta say, Shindo's quite an interesting character. Episode 0 gave us a good look on how the man thinks.

The premise is interesting and i love how Toei is handling the CGI effects well despite being jarring at times during the entire episode. Its themes are well played

The CGI threw me off a few times, but I've loved everything else about this show so far, especially Shinawa. Rie Kugimiya is doing a wonderful job.

Very intriguing so far. My interest is definitely piqued by the cube and this supernatural (or hyper advanced?) being. I wonder if Shindo's already negotiated a deal with Yaha.

The CGI was surprisingly decent. There were times were it was a little off, but it was ironically jarring for me that the CGI wasn't jarring for me. If they can keep the CGI to a consistent level, I'll be very pleased. There were some unintentional humor in this. I couldn't help but chuckle when that soldier commented "I'm sorry. It's expensive." and the scientists were just puzzled.

I have to also admit being drawn to the character Ritsu Natsume. But she seemed familiar to me. So a little research into her seiyu and WOW.
Her seiyu is beautiful and did a lot of my favorite characters, Her name? Shizuka Itou.

I liked it.
Though I was starting to have flashbacks of Shin Godzilla. At least it hasn't turned into a satire of bureaucracy.

Hmm, this looks to be quite interesting. I like the design of the cube. The CG is good, I didn't even notice it most of the time, although I find it odd that episode 0 started as 2D.

I also couldn't help but notice that the characters' eyelashes were reddish on both ends. It's a little thing, but I always seemed to notice it when a characters' face popped up.
