Akane and Kotarou were adorable and, at the same time, awkwardly infuriating. I suppose that's normal to think of two seemingly shy middle school students in a budding romance. They're so fidgety! I was a little bit worried that they won't even have an actual conversation through an episode, but near the end saved it.

The visuals (other than the CGI students...) look clean and bright. I'm also digging the sound work. For instance, during their conversation in the equipment room, I could hear a faint background noise of a band/choir playing. The scene where Akane walked after track practice was so nostalgic. Back in high school, I had those later afternoon/dusk walks after practice or a match. Walking home at those times, through streets with a tinge of orange warmth, was relaxing.

This feels like the buttered toast of anime. It's extremely plain and predictable, and is pretty boring in it's simplicity, but is somehow still appealing. I can't say I'll stick around for the whole season, and I'm definitely not waiting with baited breath for the next episode, but it still somehow mildly has my interest.

I was planning on skipping this series but I'm glad I didn't. I really like the art style and for some reason I can't stop smiling wistfully as I watch. Ah young love. Also, that bookshop keeper gets "cool adult" of the season award right off the bat.

I will say the CG characters during the betweens walking around outside are kinda jarring. But I'm willing to turn a blind eye and enjoy the rest.

Ep 1

I enjoyed just about everything the premiere had to offer, the directing in particular. For such a simple and seemingly generic concept I'm surprised at how quickly and effortlessly I was drawn in. Akane and Kotarou's awkward interactions were so realistic. I'm sure not everyone will be able to relate, but I certainly can. Not to mention the animation, minus the odd CG, was excellent. I loved the scene at the restaurant and the one at the bookshop. Good stuff.

Episode 2

Pretty nice sports festival episode this is. Akane shows just how athletic she is, but she's also vulnerable when she doesn't have that doll with her. And indeed it comes back to bite her when she dropped the baton in the relay causing her team to lose the festival. But in the end, they stumbled and got back up, and those two are growing their relationship. That whole scavenger hunt part was pretty amusing, first with the empty boxes, and then that boy grabbing the teacher having drawn the slip to fetch someone he likes.

Really enjoyed the first episode, and this one started out OK but the coincidences bringing these two together is getting to be too much, it's going for realistic situations it would have been nicer if they just actually talked to each other after bumping into each other so often instead of him needing to find her squishy potato thing.

Happy they went with the sport festival instead of the cultural one. I find it more interesting and less overused in this type of anime.
Anyway, together with the smooth progress of MC's romance, looks like a certain sensei has started heading towards a dangerous path~

Great episode that focused on investing character relationship progress between Kotarou and Akane. Hopefully they keep this pace and Seiji Kishi is doing a good job in making the show stand out from Sagrada Reset

The two of them fell. Kotarou somewhat got off easy since no one expected much of him. Poor Akane though, being a track athlete, her classmates had higher expectations. The boys are teasing her, while the girls talk about her behind her back. At least, Kotarou found her potato charm. Eager to see how those two get closer and learn about each other.

The sensei's a little confused. I've seen several shows with potential teacher-student relationships. In most cases, the students were in high school. Middle school students are even younger...

The end of episode one shots are more entertaining than the actual show they're supposed to be an addition to. Not to say that the main show is necessarily bad, it's just so slow, predictable and bland.

Slice of life shows tend to be sleepy with nice art and this is that it's just so sleepy to the point it's a bit boring. Anybody who likes these sort of shows knows how this will go,they knows exactly who these two characters are it's been done before but it's at least something to watch each week.

The shorts were funny the teacher figuring out one of her students has a crush on her it's a burden for particularly young attractive teachers at schools with growing kids full of hormones and craving romantic attraction lol. Though to be honest I had him pegged as the kinda slightly gay/androgynous best friend of the MC with his pink hair and love of cat ears apparently. Somehow I'm most invested in that one couple in the shorts and earlier in the episode where he's bragging how if he wins she should buy him a drink and she just ends up dragged along at his pace in the end when he comes on strong.

I want a show just about those two characters but we'll have to make do with awkward fumbling and beating about the bush for several episodes where neither of them actually admit they like each other then one of them gets asked out by somebody else and can't say no resulting in awkward jealousy and guilt. Also that one girl in the medical room lol "Shouldn't you use disinfectant?" "No of course not! I know exactly what I'm doing here have my crappily applied bandage and get out!" what a jerk.

Oh and of course we'll see lots of product placement for LINE.

Episode 3

It's exam time, and afterwards Akane is hard at work training for track. While Akane is running, Kotarou is praying and doing some practice for the Kawagoe Festival with the school trip approaching. Akane did set a personal best as she said she wanted to do, but she couldn't spread the news with the battery in her phone running out of juice. Do the two meet gazing at the beautiful moon like the show's title implies. That was some nice development there as those two were definitely meant for each other no matter what happens.

Oh wow, that insert song this episode was nicely performed.

Once again we get to see some athlete competition (track and field). I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing a lot of that. Akane and Kotarou's character chemistry feels slow but progressing. I wonder if Akane will accept after being asked out? That actually caught me off guard at the end.

Also, I feel like the moon in this show is symbolizing something but not sure what yet.
