Episode 1: Red Dragon

Really nice to see this show return.

The first episode didn't waste much time getting right to the point either with the action and magical elements. Nina (the new girl) is cute. A bit girly in some ways but I think she has a charm to her character.

Glad to see characters from the previous season return too like Kaisar and Rita.
First episode is titled Red Dragon and I'm pretty satisfied with the start.

The first episode is finally up on Amazon, once again for Anime Strike subscribers only.

Episode 1

Much like how Genesis started, it's a mad chase throughout town as Favaro and Kaisar fought each other all over town, and now Nina is chasing a wanted man, who Kaisar and company are also after. The end result is that the guy, who knows Nina from somewhere, gets away, and Nina transforms into the red dragon, and the city is a mess. Pretty nice start there, and Bacchus and Hamsa haven't change, while it's great to see Kaisar and Rita again. Genesis was great, and with Virgin Soul getting two cours and an extra large budget courtesy of Amazon that I'm hoping it does a great job in following it up.

Nina was a delight. Seems like she's powered on genki-blush powers. Interesting to see a certain other character playing such a central role right off the bat.

It's great to have this show back. Looks like humans are now trying to be the superior race treating non-humans as slaves. Surprised to see Azazel acting as a sort of anti-hero here. Also our new protagonist is a dragon. That's pretty cool. I guess getting turned on is what triggered the transformation. Lots of familiar faces and I didn't think Nina would end up meeting Rita in the end. I wonder what Favaro's been up to since he didn't appear yet.

Why is this anime not on Crunchyroll? Why isn't the first season on Crunchyroll? I mean the first season has already been dubbed? Please Crunchyroll explain? Can you help us poor anime fans????

I think Nina looks like the daughter of Favaro and Amira due to her possessing both of their characteristics

First season was licensed by Funimation, the second season was licensed as an exclusive by Amazon's anime strive service.

I admit, hoping to see Favaro once again is the main reason I was really looking forward to this show. But gosh, with that Nina on the scene, well she's just as good as Favaro at keeping my interest.

And the rest of what got my interest with Genesis is all here too. Perfectly timed and choreographed exciting rollicking chase and actions scenes, seamlessly melding with comedy; such a classic feel that gets my blood moving.

I have been eagerly awaiting this show since 2 years ago when it was announced. We saw Kaiser, Rita, and Azazel again, but still no Favaro. Amira isn't in the cast so that depresses me a bit as a big reason I was looking forward to this was seeing Favaro deliver on his promises to her from Genesis, and him at the end of the anime stating that he would see her again.

That being said, Nina is a very interesting character and reminds me of a female Favaro. Her strength is pretty abnormal and was explained when
I think Nina is somehow tied to

I cannot wait for the next episode and the episode after that. I just bought Rage of Bahamut on Bluray and it comes in tomorrow and I plan to binge watch it on my days off so I can go into Virgin Soul with a clear head. Virgin Soul is probably also a blatant spoiler into the title. Bahamut/Amira/Nina probably ties into the title.

Which I have a theory about Nina. Bahamut and Amira fused as was defeated, but not killed. Seeing Nina's looks and personality reminded me of Amira while he strength and the ability to turn into a
reminds me of Bahamut. The term virgin soul could be referring to the two souls merging and creating a new soul called Nina. Hence Virgin soul.
