Phantom's response is the best response. I would be just echoing his thoughts

How has this season been so far? I haven't gotten to watch it yet because of good ol' Anime Strike and I haven't watched it on the dark side because I usually don't watch anime on my computer too often anymore if I'm being honest, I mainly watch through my Playstation, so I usually ignore the dark side, but now with Amazon Strike, that's going to be harder.

Anyways, is it as good as the first season? Are the new characters good? Thoughts?

Right away it already feels like it's going to be more complex than season 1 while keeping the same fun atmosphere around the main cast. It's a lot more morally gray than what I remember of season 1. The main antagonist is a human who's bringing prosperity to humans built on the hard labor of demons that are now enslaved after the new king waged war on both angels and demons. A certain villain from season 1 is now an anti-hero fighting for the demons but still killing humans. No side is really completely right, although it's easier to understand his point of view in my opinion since the demons in general are victims this season and the angels to a lesser extent.

The returning characters don't really like the way the new king is running things. Nina is good new protagonist. She's as easy going as Favaro (and there's a hilarious scene in episode 3) and her appearance is so misleading as you'll see in the first episode if you don't already know what she is. The only other important new character is a friendly mute kid helping our former villain now turned anti-hero and there's something special about that kid, but I won't say what it is. Sadly, it looks like we'll have to wait a while before we can see Favaro.

Oh, and that OP is just as good as the first one. ED is by Daoko, aka "Me!Me!Me!" singer.

Hell ya, thanks Phantom, this all sounds great. Now I'm looking forward to watching it when I get around to it!

Rage of Bahamut: Virgin Soul EP 4 "Firestarter" / EP 5 "Those Who Won't Give Up"

A very poor post by me as this one of my top shows I am just behind

EP 4 was more exciting as EP 5 was more dialouge

Ep 6: Festival episode. And all hell is going to break loose next time. Will we ever see Favaro this season?

The episode was up for a bit, and then it suddenly was pulled off. Now it is back up and running.

Episode 6

So Nina runs into "Chris" after being battered around by those punks, and "Chris" happens to be Charioce in disguise. That was pretty nice and laid-back considering that all hell is about to break loose. Those two sure do get along well and would make a great couple if it weren't for their secrets. For now, Charioce is not aware that Nina is the red dragon that caused a big ruckus in town, while Nina doesn't know that "Chris" is the same guy who is leading the demon extermination campaign, but all bets are off if they know about each other's secrets.

That dance scene really is something.

OMG!! — that episode was totally for the girls!! Between all the giggling, I think I blushed almost as much as Nina!
Rage of Bahamut now ranks #1 on my chart. Can't wait to see which direction Nina is pulled in next week: "Chris" or Azazel?

Looks like Nina is getting better at controlling her raging hormones. Nina and "Chris" are such an ironic couple. I wonder how long it'll be before they discover each other's identity. King Charioce and the Red Dragon that's thwarted him before. Charioce looks like he's genuinely interested in Nina so I can't imagine whether he'd be pissed or sad when he inevitably finds out. Interesting how he remembered Kaiser's words when he was at that grave again. I'm guessing that whatever happened to the person might be the main reason he started subjugating demons and angels.

I didn't expect to see an entire episode about a festival. This is the calm before the storm since Azazel is about to begin his attack. I really like the pacing this season. Season 1 was really fast paced and felt like an adrenaline rush, which was fun. Season 2 is still fast paced but I think having 25 episodes gives the show room to rest and take breaks between major events like these last 2 episodes. It's only been 6 episodes but you can tell the writers are taking advantage of the time they're given.

I'm not sure how significant it is but I noticed at the end that Nina didn't blush at all when Azazel grabbed her. She looked rather annoyed. Either she's just so used to Azazel at this point or being with "Chris" all night made her not realize she was just speaking to another guy she always found attractive before.

Watching her made me smile-cringe and reminded me of my foolish teens gawddd. It did make me happy for her, though you just know their relationship is going to end up in tears flames.

I noticed this too, and I think it is key for the next episode - Azazel's plan is going to fail at this rate. I suspect its her puppy love focusing her interests to one man only, making any other man feel boring/uncommitted.

I do feel that the King's behaviour needs an explanation though - randomly walking around the streets in disguise? Coincidental encounters with Nina? It feels calculated, but if it's not, then it would be a case of convenient writing.

At the beginning of this episode and the episode where he was first shown in disguise he was visiting a grave. Must've been someone very important if he keeps sneaking out of the palace to visit them. Running into Nina the first 2 times were just a coincidence. Then he snuck out again since Nina pretty much asked him out. As far as he knows, Nina is just an abnormally strong girl who can beat him in arm wrestling. I didn't get the impression that he calculated anything. He returned to the palace holding the pepper he got from his encounter with Nina so you can tell he was thinking about her when got back. I'll be surprised if he really does know who Nina is.

Nina is so cute, loving this show. Hilarious didn't notice the demon slaver's pimp hat before it almost looks like the one Kramer wore in that Seinfeld episode lol. Another great dance scene like the one from season 1 who animates this? They are great. Oh and I think it's pretty obvious "Chris" knows Nina's real identity the guy didn't get where he is by being stupid he's a cold calculating mf'er.
Oh and those wings looked good, they made me hungry.

Now that I know where ROB:VS (and One Punch Man) is,
I think I'm going to mosey on over the Amazon.com to check
out that Anime Strike service. It should be a nice addition to
Crunchyroll.
