I think the Otori is hurrying to Hoshitani, and by his voice he wakes up. Perhaps he also talks to him and tells him that you want to make your dream come true and stand with me on the stage. Then he wakes up, and continues in spite of the circumstances. Because that makes a true actor.

Sorry for my bad english

Which is what understudies are for.

I actually saw a show recently where the understudy replaced the main actor three scenes in.

This could happen, too.

Either way, this show tends to be surprisingly realistic about things like this, even when the lead-up to the injury is something ridiculous like that.

That episode has put some fear in me. Why was Ootari so serious before the production? And during the preview for next week, why was his mask on the table with Hoshi staring at it wide-eyed? Two conclusions come to mind: •• It's at the end of the production and Ootari is adding to Hoshitani's gift collection, or •• It's there before the end of the production (and OMG all I can think is "Please let that ToriHoshi ship sail!").

Poor Hoshitani with that fall.

ship is canon.

that was so perfect.

"We'll have another chance... but I can't wait. I want to be with you now!"

Just.... perfect.

Just saw episode 12. It was so good! I'm so happy for them!! Hoshitani finally got his wish and everyone was so supportive it was heartwarming.

Best part of the episode for me? When everyone in the cast sang the ending song together and the video that accompanied it. I went 'Aww' and 'Yay!' at the same time!! I want an mp3 of that!!

Here's my full reaction because I don't want to retype it all again: https://ichika27.tumblr.com/post/162242391609/a-full-set-hoshitani-also-received-something

Anyways, I'm a fujoshi and truthfully, I went on to watch this show back when season 1 was still airing because I thought 'Not BL anime but there are hot guys so BL hints!'. Surprisingly enough, the 1st season didn't have really blatant BL subtext and it was enjoyable as it is - the songs, the characters, the story. It was all good that my little brother and little sister enjoyed watching with me. Those two aren't into BL so it was a surprise they got into it.

Season 2 on the other hand? There was so much BL subtext and many of their dialogue could be interpreted as shipping subtext. While I don't exactly mind it, I'm sure a lot of other people would. It'd be hard to suggest to others to watch this because of that. As such, I can't show this to my little sister who enjoyed season 1. It's too bad because she actually wanted to see season 2 after I told her there was gonna be one.

I'm surprised there are so few comments on this thread. Are people not watching it, or just not commenting? I hope people are watching it, because it's been a great show. I've been behind all season, so haven't really commented much on anything. I just finished the last few episodes of this one the other night, and thought I'd comment since I saw the thread.

I thought this season was even better than the first season. I thought the music was great. It was nice to be introduced to some new characters, and I thought it had great development for some of them. It was great to be able to see Hoshitani and Otori perform together.

At the end of the episode, it said something along the lines of "join us for an encore next week". Will there be another episode on Monday?

It's supposed to air June 27th. But rather than tying up any loose ends, I think it'll be more musical in nature.

The last episode felt a little flat to me. All the performers who really shine on the stage have embellishments during their performances (e.g., vines, flowers, wings). I was curious to see what Hoshitani's embellishment would be, but it didn't happen. Maybe the special episode will address this.

Apparently this special episode is supposed to show more of shadow and lights.

Would be nice for CR to have it but I doubt it, as they're good at not getting the shows people want to see.

But why is BL bad? It wasn't really ecchi or anything. It was just really sweet and romantic.

I think it's a good reason why you should recommend this show. It's just really positive and loving.

I know it wasn't bad but it would make people who aren't comfortable with BL stuff feel awkward. While my siblings don't really hate those who are part of the LGBT community, the whole idea still kind of weirds them out and the 2nd season of StarMyu has so many dialogues with double meanings that even if I told them to just interpret it in a friendly way, it's kind of impossible. I mean Hoshitani's admiration for Ootori can be seen as just that in the 1st season and could be ignored by non-BL fans but the 2nd season has so many moments of blushing and stuff that it can only be seen as shipping and I don't think my sister would be fond of that.

So you can use it to try to get them to be more comfortable with it? I mean, they should be comfortable with it, it's just the decent thing to do...

Like... that's the point of fiction. To expose people to things that they're not comfortable with, so that they get comfortable with it and learn to respect people...

Maybe someday. Also, I kinda need to clear up that my siblings don't think gays/lesbians are weird as people. It's the relationship that is weird to them.

Well, this show is probably good for that. It's free of typical seme behavior (you know, the things that would make fans riot if a guy did them to a girl, but when a guy does it to another guy, that makes it okay).

Otori is so respectful and loving and perfect and wonderful, and I just really appreciate that.

I like those type of seme as well. I've recently been reading some actual BL/yaoi stuff (not just doujins of works that weren't BL) and I found myself dropping a lot of them because I didn't like how the seme was treating the uke. It's the same thing I hate with most shoujo wherein the guy is a bad boy and the girl still falls for him.
