So yeah Just watched this anime and while I thought it was great I felt that the ending doesn't make a great deal of sense character personality wise for all 3 characters.

I mean Touma went through almost the entire season wanting Haruki and when she finally gets him she just up and leaves? I mean her mother even told her she could stay if she wanted too. So it's not like she was forced to go. There was also no timeline given for when she had to be there. I could see her putting the flight on hold in order to wait and think about it a bit.

Setsuna was oddly clingy when she gave Haruki space before too.

And Haruki just giving up on Touma just before she left and basically had to be dragged to go see her at the airport seemed out of place for him too. Especially given his feeling for her.

It's like the ending was for three different characters than what we watched up to that last couple of episodes for me.

It basically decided to degrade and trash all the characters that had been built up, turning 2 of them into disgusting pieces of sh*t and another into a weak-willed "I need you even though you betrayed me" female character. All for the sake of cheap drama and/or faux maturity (it failed miserably at this). Maybe they'll do a manga version that fixes it like they did with the first WA, but honestly I'd rather just remember everything but the ending arc.

I think the term is PIS, or "Plot induced stupidity".

To be fair this was only the introduction chapter. But since the sequel wont likely get animated I feel the anime was a waste.
