Post Reply Ladies, what's that one thing you hate about getting your periods?
Posted 4/11/17 , edited 4/11/17
1.) How my energy goes down to 75% within the first 3 days.
2.) How sluggish I feel in the whole duration.
3.) Can't sleep comfortably.
4.) Easily prone to heavy migraines that lasts hours.
5.) Leaking from pads/tampons due to heavy flows (of blood).

At least I don't get bad cramps like others.

1) Mood swings. I get angry or sad so easily... I feel really sorry for my boyfriend sometimes ^^
2) Being tired and exhausted all the time
3) The hunger...I'm constantly hungry and craving unhealthy food. I'm not eating in constantly but that doesn't make it easier ^^
4) Feeling bloated.
5) The fact that I suffer from PMS and all of this sh*t mentioned above starts 3 days earlier.

You arnt alone on the 3 days prior bad mood thing... Id always know when my ex was about to get her rag due to she would get mad at me for completely unreasonable reasons then try to dump me. Then cry the next day saying she needed cuddles...

"What do you mean you stopped on the way home to pick up groceries without warning me you are home ten mins late do you have no consideration for me! Im getting fat and you just wanted to avoid me because you only want me for sex but im no longer attractive. I hate you I hate you thats it we are only going to be friends from now on dont treat me like your gf!... oh you brought me icecream... Im so sorry Ender I love you... but I cant eat this cause ill get fat... okay if you insist but you have to split it with me"

Id hear something like that ever month... thank god for ice cream... but she cheated on me so shes a bitch oh well

Oh wow that's pretty extreme
Luckily I don't switch moods that fast.

I also get mad because of small, stupid things but it's mostly because I feel critized at the moment or something like that.
But I never told by boyfriend that I was going to dumb him or that he only wants me for sex.
I get angry and ten minutes later I apologize to him and everything is fine. He's used to this and knows that it's a hormonal thing. I still hate it though. Luckily such things don't happen every month but still too often for my taste.

And the problem with unhealthy food is that you crave it all the time but don't want to eat it because you're already bloated and feel fat. ^^
Apart from that, I eat pretty healthy most of the time and don't want to throw that away because of those stupid hormones.

And I'm sorry that your ex cheated on you. That's a horrible thing to do.

It is a horrible thing to do
Acording to studies done 65% of women are cheaters and 72% of men at minimum due to some of the people being surveyed would have lied.
Those are shockingly high numbers.
To make matters worse its a fad in the area I live in for girls to compete at how many guys they can cheat on their boyfriend with...
Sadly every girl Ive dated since I was 19 has been into this fad... yet Ive never cheated once... I had high hopes for my ex I lived with her for 4 years and choose "being cool" around her friends than being loyal to the man who loved her. Definitely a bitch.

But oh well Ill just have to get a new gf which has thankfully never been hard for me. I feel sorry knowing most guys struggle to find a gf only to get cheated on. Ive never seen a girl struggle to get a bf though... (not saying girls dont struggle just ive never seen it)

Those numbers are extremely shocking.
Considering that I only know one person that was cheated on I find them almost hard to believe.
But maybe I just happen to know the right people? ^^

What kind of weird fad is that? Never heard such a thing before.
When I was younger such things didn't happen around me but I don't know what younger people are doing today. The only thing I can say for sure is that my flatmate, who is 6 years younger than me and a former flatmate who was also younger, had way more relationships than most of the people I know that are my age.

I don't know how hard it is for someone, boy or girl, to get into a relationship because I never really been in that situation.
Me and my boyfriend have been together for 9 years now so I have no idea about dating nowadays ^^
I occasionally experience some guys flirting with me and it seems that girls rarely start to flirt with guys, so I guess it's easier for girls.

Cramps on the first day suck, but that's about it.
People actually get mood swings?, never experienced it before

If it's a heavy month, I get irritated because I end up going through tampons like crazy and those things are expensive. >> But I don't get any cramps or back pain or any kind of body sores, and I don't PMS really. Maybe about a week in advance I'll get a bit annoyed with everyone and everything but it tends to go away before it starts.

It's more of an, "Ugh, you again... what's up" kind of feeling.

Migraines, nausea, extra pain from previous ovary complications, the ability to turn from a complete child to a raging monster in moments, consuming all the food in my house with no remorse and only pure satisfaction...

What I hate most, more so than the symptoms themselves, is having to go to work and endure them with a smile on my face pretending like I do not feel as if a 10 ton brick is shattering my pelvis, and ignore the churning of my organs.

Forcing myself to sleep like a mummy on my side so that I won't get stains every where. I wake up with the sorest hips those first two days.

Then the poops. And the cramps. And the gas. Just like, everything going on around my digestive system is a mess that week.
