When I became a crunchyroll member a while back, the apps in iOS were ok but not great. But it seemed like as time went on, these apps became better and better to the point where I was really happy with them, especially the app on AppleTV.

But now we're being shunted off to VRV which only has an iPhone app so I can't watch natively on my AppleTV or iPad without some kind of trade-off.

I realize this might be happening due to increased traffic and also maybe due to your agreement with Funimation or what not, but to me, in terms of app quality, VRV is worse than before.

Obviously this is just my opinion, but I'd rather have Crunchyroll be the premier site to watch anime - meaning I'd rather you increased your user capacity instead of shunting us off to somewhere else.

Oh, and after you've warned me once when I start your app, don't keep warning me over and over if I decide to keep using your app. Really this whole shunting off business is just crazy.

Why can't your app just get the video data from VRV?

What is the VRV shit mandatory? I mean I still pay for my Funi+Crunchy accounts separately.

It's not being forced on you, so if you like the normal Crunchyroll then just use that instead...

Oh and VRV isn't even available as a choice over here, so as a consumer be happy you got more consumer choice which never is a bad thing

VRV is a combo of funimation and Crunchyroll, and it is not as if it is mandatory for you to use it. so I am not sure of what your issue is

Look.

I'm already irritated that saekano season 2 is behind a pay wall, because amazon is going to take over the world.

But am I going to pay for it?? Nope. Am I going to pay for VRV. Nope.

Am I going to keep paying 6. 95 .. yup.

It's the simple things in life that really matter. So don't let a corporate money hungry billionaire control that. You say fuck you, and continue to grow under the same morals and standards while more people accept that way. Why raise the price when you can attract more subscribers. More subscribers means more money, not the other way around for fuck sakes

Not get pressured at a pay wall. CR as far as I'm concerned, hasn't changed. If anything they should be number one for all.

I've closed this because if this is primarily a suggestion/feedback about Crunchyroll intended for Crunchyroll staff, it should be in the Suggestions/Feedback forum and not General Discussion.

If it's more for discussion regarding VRV, then we already have a General Discussion topic for that. Please feel free to post your thoughts about VRV there:
