Last night, Crunchyroll was experiencing those dreaded server issues again (it happens - I get it) but over the span of a few hours I kept opening up the app on my Fire TV stick to see if I could get it to work. I probably did this a few dozen times over the three or so hours.
What would happen was that it would take forever to load up, and then (despite saying I was logged in) would show no queue or history. I could (after long load times) go to browse the anime collection, but most of the titles were unavailable to stream (no episode list loading up at all).
This is fair enough - if the servers were busy, the app would be unable to connect to them to read my user data. Makes sense.
Later on (11pm-ish CDT) I could at least access my anime - even if the queue and history were still gone. I'm rewatching "Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio: Ars Nova" right now (now that I'm caught up with the manga thanks to Crunchyroll's manga app!) and that was the only one I tested out. The episode list loaded in, and the 2 eps I watched streamed just fine (with minimal buffering interruptions).
What was odd, though, was this morning when I opened it up and the queue and history were still missing! The app loaded in instantly, and there was no streaming trouble, but it could not access my user data still!
I had to delete the app and reinstall it, and now it all comes up just fine (albeit without showing the eps I watched last night in my history, which I expected).
What would cause this, exactly?
