"15% increase" ?

when i asked for a quote in January 2017 for the 2017 Mazda 3 sport it was $365 for 6 months

i bought the car in March 2017-- the premium went up to $467 for 6 months

if people text/talking on the phone while driving and causing an accident.. increase their premium instead

i think in CA. they are increasing the gas tax and also the registration fee for vehicles

the cost of driving..

May I ask how old you are, and whether you have tickets?

$365/$467 seems excessive, even for someone under 21 in my opinion.

As an example, I pay $173 a month for my 2013 Audi S5, which was purchased for ~$36,500 with just under 38.5k miles. At first, I paid about $217 a month, but after my ticket for talking on the phone while driving came off my record for insurance (plus I hit my 24th birthday), my premium dropped to the current value. I'm hoping it'll go down some more after this next premium - I don't have much history for auto insurance, and I know it will drop even more after I hit 25. The only benefit of aging after 21...lol. Oh, and I am in California as well. My zip code may affect this premium though...it's a pretty rural area.

i'm old enough to drink, no tickets, good driving record...also i'm in Arizona

$467 for 6 months premium with liability, collision, comprehensive, under insure+uninsured, towing, rental coverage with 12k+ mile driving

i think it's also because of the premium hike due to those people who text and drive

they are starting to use the Textalyzer around here

New "Textalyzer" test could help police detect distracted driving
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_c9sp-4_rw

people can't use hands-free while driving..

Live in Vancouver BC Canada
Can only buy insurance from ICBC, a government run "crown corporation"
costs me $1400+ a year to insure a 2014 Ford Escape and i have 17 years of "road star" savings, basically no accidents or tickets in 17 years
as far as gas prices go, currently paying around $1.55.9 per liter Canadian, if you use the current exchange rate for Canadian dollar into US dollars and convert to gallons that is like Americans paying $4.55 US per Gallon

dang, I was going to post something about how Michigan is the most expensive car insurance state. But it looks like two states have pass us up, special thanks to Louisiana and Oklahoma.

But I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to GEICO.

Its for my Honda 250 dualsport motorcycle. Plus with the 60~70 mpg I save alot of money commuting. And I can take it offroad for fun as well.

Motorcycle insurance is really cheap, unless you're an 18 yr old buying some 1000cc sport bike. (but even for my sport bikes I never payed more that like $50~60 a month)

Ah ok, that makes more sense. I was thinking it was car insurance.

I'm up to about $132 a month, was $125 last year. Perfect driving record, just a lot of idiots who don't know how to drive in the area that continue to drive up rates.
