looking for new shows to watch, so let me know, and discuss, what shows youve loved that, for whatever reason, didnt "make it".

I want things ive never heard of, or older ones that no one talks about anymore.

im talking rough cut gems, things that are great stories, but didnt become popular, things you wouldnt find by just browsing the first couple pages of the anime listings.

I've moved this to the Advice, Info, Recommendations forum.

For an existing thread about underrated shows see /forumtopic-968809/what-is-an-underrated-anime-series-more-people-should-see in the Anime forum.

Erin the Beast Player
http://www.crunchyroll.com/erin

The story is about a young woman who is drawn into a war between kingdoms. She has the ability to command animals, including dragons, as if she was playing a musical instrument.

959/1099 gave it 5 stars. Animated by Production I.G. It looks like it's going to be a happy go lucky show and it's mostly positive but it definitely has dark moments as well as heart wrenching and tears of joy stuff too. It covers about 10 or so years of the main character's life (10 years old, high school age, college age). It's the ups and downs of her life as well as the kingdom. There's rarely action but there is some violence. It's primarily driven by dialog and drama. If that's up your alley then give it a shot.

Rarely hear anyone talk about those two.
