Man, what a race that was! One of the best I can remember for sure. Only just finished watching it.

On the Hamilton Vettel incident... I think Vettel was clearly in the wrong there, he shouldn't have done what he did and in terms of the race/championship, dodged a bullet. To come away from that and still increase his lead over Hamilton? I'll take that The way I saw it, Hamilton didn't brake coming out of the corner, he just backed off and slowed down because of that. I don't think he did it with the intention of screwing over Vettel at all, but because it was kind of an unexpected thing to do in that moment it caught Vettel out because he was so close, then the red mist took over!

Aside from the above...

- Danny Ric great overtake too!
- Good on Stroll for bringing home a podium!
- Force India... oh dear, what could have been
- Massa, gutted for him
- What a turnaround for the circuit year-on-year; super boring to the opposite end of the spectrum

That was an incredible race!! Exceptionally exciting, best race of the year so far!

My take on the Hamilton/Vettel incident...I do believe that Lewis brake-checked Seb and while I was thrilled to see Vettel show his displeasure by smashing his car into Hamilton's (must've been the NASCAR fan in me), it was a really stupid thing to do, Vettel definitely gave into the red mist which he shouldn't have. He may have been in position to win had he not done that. In the end, I think that both of them deserved a penalty and the finish was appropriate for them both...karma bit Lewis in the butt with his headrest. Just my take.

Aside from that...

-Great win for Ricciardo! Excellent use of strategy to be in the right place/right time.
-Amazing drive by Stroll, I really think he showed people that he has talent today.
-Bottas deserved a penalty for his run in with Kimi on the first lap.
-Force India needs to control their drivers. Until then, I think it's pretty entertaining to watch these guys fight. Perez got the short stick today.
-I'm pleased with the finish Magnusson was able to deliver for Haas. Though, I wish it could've been the brief podium place he held for a few laps.

Overall, exciting stuff and it was great to see Baku deliver a really exciting race, last year's was so terrible. It's also really cool to see these cars reach their full speed, this is a fun track.

Both Vettel and Hamilton should be given 5000 race bans and Rio Haryanto should be declared the World Champion of WWE.

But seriously I don't know how the hell Ricciardo won that race...maybe that three car pass helped...

You'd almost think Ferrari was sabotaged based on that result. Thumbs up to Bottas for an excellent job..

It was an interesting finish...wish it would've been closer for the lead of the race.

Was it just me or was that like the longest summer break ever?
Anyway shout out to the silver arrows in qualifying!
On a side note, I'm not fond of "eyebrows" but he doesn't deserve this.

The summer break did indeed seem like ages!! So glad F1 is back

Everyone been enjoying the last couple of races? Not surprised by the Merc wins in the slightest, two tracks very much suited to their car. Saying that though, I didn't expect them to be THAT far ahead in Monza, and that was with them cruising around with the engines turned down for a large proportion of the race. I just hope they haven't out-developed Ferrari to such a degree where Hamilton cruises away with this title - to be fair I don't think they have, and expect Singapore to be a much closer race (with the Red Bulls hopefully in the mix also), but there is that niggling concern....!

Danny Ric also - once again proving this weekend he's up there with the best. Such a good wheel-to-wheel racer, consistent, brave, can look after his tires with the best of 'em, calm under pressure, he's immense. And such a fucking cool guy too Shame he had the grid penalty this weekend.

Been on hiatus with the Asia swing (races start at midnight )
But did I hear that right? Hamilton needs a fifth place or better to win the championship?

That is unfortunately the case

Such a shame how the championship has panned out since Singapore.
