Didn't see the forum before posting on the wall.

Just a bit about me and F1, started following at the end of the 2012 season and have been hooked since. Went to my first gp last season in Austin. Going to be headed to Montreal in a month and a half.

Here's hoping for a good championship battle this season.

Hey mate, no problem!

Nice that you've been to Austin and this season going to Montreal - that's awesome! Where abouts did you sit at the Austin race? I take it you're based in North America? How has F1's popularity over there changed since that race was introduced? The track itself is awesome, very popular with the drivers and I know I like driving it myself on racing games ! It's one of the GP's I look forward to the most in the season too.

I was at turn 15, the panoramic pic in the post above was my view. So, I basically had a view of turns 12-15 pretty clear. If I go back to Austin, I'd def sit again in the same area. And yea, I'm in southern California.

I always feel like no one watches F1 around here, but I swear at least one person will comment anytime I wear my Ferrari shirt. I've been working on getting a couple of my friends into it as well. Liberty Media's still got a lot of work on accessibility before it will really take off here, I think.

I definitely loved COTA itself. It's a nice setup, though bit of a pain to get out to since it's remote from the city itself. The only thing that spoiled it for me was that Kimi wasn't able to finish the race.

Ever made it to a GP?

'ello, never thought I'd see a F1 group on here. I've been a fan of F1 since 1997-ish. Currently I root for Hamilton & Mercedes. No I've never attended a GP but it's on my bucket list (another reason to go to Japan).

Didn't spot those links earlier, thanks for sharing - looks like a great spot to be ! Where are you going to be at the Canadian GP?

Hopefully Liberty will boost the following of F1 in North America over time, the potential is there for sure, and I'm quietly confident they will. Can its popularity reach the heights of other series though? I'm not sure... (speaking of other series, I can't wait to see how Alonso gets on in the Indy 500, I really hope he does well - tragic to see a driver of his calibre scrapping away at the back of the grid like he has been for so long )

Unfortunately, I haven't ever been to a GP myself. It's something I've wanted to do for a long time though - I'm sure I will one day!!

Hey there ! Welcome to the group and thanks for joining. I'm glad the group has attracted a few folk - I thought there was a definite lack of sports-related groups on CR and thought I'd change that by making one for my favourite

Who did you root for before Hamilton? Do you think he's going to beat Vettel over the course of this season?

Doing a set where it's Epingle Hairpin on Friday, Pit lane on Saturday, and Senna on Sunday.

And I'm definitely pulling for Alonso to nab the Indy 500. Gotta go for that triple crown. Would be a mood lifter after seeing Mclaren fall into what it's become

Michael Schumacher & Ferrari until he "retired".
Yes, I do think Hamilton will beat Vettel for the title with no DNFs

Hello everyone! Like a few others, I also posted on the wall prior to seeing the forms.

I've grown up (and still am) a longtime NASCAR fan but got hooked on F1 in 2008 when I decided to watch the Hungarian GP. Watched Heikki Kovalainen scored his first and only win. At the time, I just thought the entire way F1 operated was fascinating, it was so different than what I had grown up knowing.

I ended up becoming a big Jarno Trulli and Nick Heidfeld fan before up until their careers ended. Now I pull for Kimi Raikkonen(bwoah) and have been cheering him on since 2012.

Never been to a GP before but hopefully someday (Austin, Montreal, and Mexico City are a long way from where I live here in the US). It's very nice to see F1 becoming more and more popular here and I'm hoping it will only continue.

Can't WAIT to see Fernando in the 500. It will be extremely interesting to see how does in the early test sessions beginning on the 3rd. He's really generated a positive international buzz for both F1 and IndyCar over here.
