PS3 sold more systems than the Xbox One in the Japan on a weekly basis.. but it's a 10+ year old system.. i guess it is time

Sony kept their promise of 10 year life cycle with most their consoles so far..

Meh only reason I owned one was cause Japanese companies are racist and refuse to develop for western consoles aside from a few exceptions like Square Enix . And even they cherry picked the stuff the the Xbox saw.

Sad day. It was an awesome console.

I initially got one as a BD player (back when BDs just came out and standalone players were expensive) and the gaming part was secondary. I remember getting FF XIII for it first. Eventually a whole bunch of cool games came out, then the PS2 and PSone back catalogue happened on the PS store, until it became my primary go-to console. I spent more time gaming on it than I did with the Wii and Wii U combined which I also have.

I've had mine for about 8 years and never had a problem with it.

Easily my favorite of the 7th gen consoles.
