Coming from someone who does not read manga a cliffhanger has to have a lot of punch for me to be like screw this time to read some mangos.

For me this has only happened two times, and I did not finish the manga till the end just until I kind of washed the cliffhanger out of my mouth.

Btoom
Shokugeki

are the ones that really got me :'(

Same. The only ones that frustrated me enough to actually read the manga were Tokyo Ghoul, Deadman Wonderland, and Aku no Hana. I liked all three of the animes, but the endings left much to be desired.

I usually read the manga first and then see the anime. The only one I can recall right now is Deadman Wonderland.

But I agree. Cliffhangers sucks.

Medaka Box is the one that comes to mind.

I've tried reading it past that point twice now, but the fan translation is so messy it's not worth the trouble. I wish Gainax had the funds to make a couple more seasons.

A cliffhanger has never made me read the manga.

I did read the manga for The World God Only Knows though since it skipped out on a bunch of stuff between seasons, and I've read a couple past where the anime ended.

Not a manga, but Chivalry of a Failed Knight made me go ahead and start reading the light novel. It didn't end on a real cliffhanger, but it had a clear "this is just the beginning of the story" kind of feel.

Hunterxhunter, the 2011 anime made me really happy as I read a few volumes and watched the old one before it came out but when it finished, I had to continue reading the manga D:

Brynhildr in the Darkness made me go ahead and read the manga because I heard that it had tried to cram 40 chapters worth of content into one episode. But I kinda regret it because then the manga ended up becoming a mess too. :/

Bleach, not really because of cliffhangers but due to the fact that the anime ended before the manga did, therefore missing out the last few arcs
