Poor little fishies swimming in their own tears

Edit: Please stop googling if fish can cry and posting the same thing and not considering the context of what you just read.

Yes fish do not as we know have the capasity to feel sad resulting in crying.
But if a fish gets sand in its eye it cries the sand out!

no they don't
Fish yawn, cough, and even burp. But they don't get choked up. Crying, says Monterey Bay Aquarium's retired senior marine biologist Steve Webster, is an emotional response made only by big-brained mammals

Fish yawn, cough, and even burp. But they don’t get choked up.

Crying, says Monterey Bay Aquarium’s retired senior marine biologist Steve Webster, is an emotional response made only by big-brained mammals.

"Since fishes lack the parts of the brain that set us apart from the fishes — the cerebral cortex — I doubt very much that fishes engage in anything like crying," Webster told LiveScience. "And certainly they produce no tears, since their eyes are constantly bathed in a watery medium."

Fish have tear ducts sorta hence their eyes can cry. Sure they wouldnt cry for emotional reasons but they can cry. Heck Ive seen fish cry.

Hmmmmmmm but surely if crying is an emotional response then what other kinds of crying is there?
Also how would you be able to tell if they're underwater? >.>

Actually they sorta do. Fishes eyes are kept lubricated to protect them and let them move around. Its not the same as human tears sure but they can produce enough to make tears. Like I said Ive seen it.
