Paid Site that wont allow you watch something, what is this garbage?

And that's why you don't pay to watch anime on a site that loses half of the anime seasons , videos that don't work (or just stop working in the middle of an episode) or just crashes all the time.

Just because you pay for it doesn't mean it's a free for all. If CR had every show ever for every region. Cr would likely cost $50 a month or more and or be non existent by now. As bigger regions would have to top up smaller regions. Pretty sure people wouldn't like doing that.

1. Another company in your region may have the rights to it exclusively.
2. Rights may have been unavailable in that region due to a particular reason.
3. Wouldn't be profitable. If the show costs $30,000 to license per episode and there is only 10,000 paying members a month how exactly would the show be paid for?
4. CR only holds a Sub (partial) license from some other company who doesn't cover your region.

What is the show and what is your region?

This doesn't make it any less garbage imo.
1. Is almost never the case. No, there is no Blu-ray/DVD version that some local company is selling and no there is no competing services. In many countries you just can't get the product without importing foreign versions, period. Is it someone buying the rights in multiple countries at once without even bothering to sell it in all of them? Maybe, idk.

It's likely one of the other reasons you stated but simply from a customers perspective, not having a legal way to get the product is bullshit. It's just something we have to deal with I guess, I just choose to not care about any anime I can't get on CR.

EDIT: And yes, I would be willing to pay more than I do now.

Now I could just be misunderstanding what you're saying but there are competing companies, It wasn't always just funi VS CR.
There are many other companies that operate all around the world. CR has to compete against for lisencing
-Anime Network Online
-Daisuki
-Amazon / Prime Video
-Amazon / Anime Strike
-Hulu
-AnimeLab (Austraila)
-Anime Digital Network (France)
-Wakanim (France)
-Anime on Demand (Germany)
-Yowu Entertainment (Spain & Portugal)
-Animax Asia (Southeast Asia)
-Aniplus HD (Southeast Asia)

Sauce https://myanimelist.net/news/50177080

So I'd think that depending on which region it is, It's just not worth it to compete against some companies. Amazon is up and coming, And I'm specifically refrencing their exclusive deal with Sentai Filmworks.

Here's a fixed list for the Nordic countries:

The rest are on CR or just don't exist. Maybe some Nordic countries have local players as well but I'm guessing for the most part, other reasons are behind why many regions are just neglected. Either it's just not profitable enough or there's some other bullshit reason.

If there are no distributors in the region then if the show is only a sub license from Sentai, Funimation etc. Then there would be no point in that company licensing the show they then have to burden the loss.
A lot of shows on CR are just sub licenses.
CR for some reason because it's likely too convoluted decides not to expand on sub licenses from other companies. Maybe it's a restriction they are forced to accept. They can have regions A or B but not both.

Yeah shows I can't watch I pretend they don't exist.

Yes I would pay extra too for shows I can't watch until CR rips it's arms off and sells CRUS to America only and CRCAN to Canada only type of thing. People will just complain about or use work arounds for higher prices.
Like people do now "why isn't my region 50% less then X's I only get half the shows they get... rah rah rah" Type of thing. People are already crabby over Sentai filmworks moving their shows over to Amazon 's Anime Strike and make out that CR lost half the seasons shows. When it wasn't exactly their shows to begin with.

I would still like to see premium and Premium + expanded.
Premium for Sub licenses and or anything CR licenses directly EG world wide EX Asia/Japan.
Premium + for additional licenses for the forgotten regions as well as the premium inclusions. So if people want to pay more for shows they wouldn't normally get they could.
Even then that would only really work if CR sold subscriptions on a 1 country only thing and banned every cheating way too lol.

xD

Ever since I got on without my subscription, I knew.

I just knew. It's over. They found their successor.

I know exactly what's going on. We share the load in order to watch the rise and fall .

Slowly but surely, Mark my words.

Make your choice. There is still a massive catalogue to enjoy, but don't expect anything new anymore in terms of what they use to.

I can see clear now.

We have this, but not that. If you want this you have to go here, but if you want that you have to go here.

If I feel like watching fate zero again, I'll just pay again. Other than that good luck.

Bro you need to get off that premium and go back to watching it online the old ways. Crunchyroll has gone to shit the last year or so.

o0 I was under the impression that CR only has the sub rights for North America; in which case, it wouldn't be able to be streamed all over the world (like I said, just my assumption).

Also, they straight up said, when the new season began, that streaming would be slow due to increased demand on the servers. So of course service is bad rn.
