Liar, Liar, pants on fire! Florida Man does it again:
http://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/crime/article137317553.html

In a recent arson case, the defendant's lawyer had to abruptly leave the courtroom after his pants went up in flames.

Quite possibly the funniest bit of news I've heard in a long time. I meant to post this a couple of weeks ago, after hearing about it on a PBS radio station, but I forgot about it. Anyway, what do you all think? Is Florida Man ever going to get his act together, or will he keep providing us with comical stories for the next few decades?

It was once a Spanish colony. All former Spanish colonies are fucked up. We bought it from Spain after invading. Can't separate the crazy.

After having visited Spain itself I have to kinda agree, the Spanish tend to be somewhat out there. Guess their colonial folk picked up on it and ran with it.

During our heavy New England winters, I have trouble getting around, and people ask me why I don't move someplace sunny.
I answer that I'd LIKE to, but all the good sunny states--Florida, Texas, California, Georgia, Nevada--all happen to be bats**t crazy for some reason.
(Hawaii's reasonably sane, but they're just snotty and kick white people out.)

Seriously, I think there is a connection: You lose track of time with less passage of seasons, and less sense of time means less sense of your life passing, maturity approaching on, and acceptance of the Eriksonian stage of the adult's role of contribution to the social life cycle--
You're still pursuing your crazy self-indulgent teen years into adulthood, and an entire state of people doing that can only mean chaos.

Nope, I think Hawaii is just as crazy.

I know lots of Caucasians that live in Hawaii. They haven't been kicked out. Although this guy I know said he used to get racially discriminated by the locals.

There maybe some legitimacy to that theory, it does explain a while a whole lot.

It was an experiment in alternative fools(fuels), lighting of the Farts, went horribly wrong with Polyester Bermuda-short-pants-ignition-phase.
