Last week I was still able to watch One piece normally, yet this week it tells me "Sorry, due to licensing limitations, videos are unavailable in your region." Why is that? What do I have to do to watch One Piece again?

What region are you in?

There is normally one reason for this change, which is either that the IP geolocation database used by CR was mis-identifying your before (and you were able to watch it when you shouldn't have been able to) or it is mis-identifying you now (and you're not able to view it although you should be).

You can check where you are identified as being now by going to the contact page and scrolling down to where "Detected country:" is listed in grey text near the bottom. If it is correctly identifying you now, you likely had the former problem. If it is incorrectly identifying your country, you have the latter issue.

This happens more frequently these days because IPv4 addresses are in short supply, and they tend to get resold to countries with greater demand, and the geolocation databases take a while to catch up on the reallocation.


For the record, One Piece is available on CR to the following regions:

USA, Canada, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and Latin America.
