So itd be pretty cool if i could actually use the service I pay for and watch some of the updated shows. But no, EVERY WEEKEND around this time a get your fricken stupid server error for everything i want to watch. Premium members need to take proirity over free users. If this continues im canceling my service

Just an fwi for anyone reading this, funimation app works. I hate the app itself but atleast i can actually watch something

I've moved this to Suggestions / Feedback.

You mention that the Funimation app works. You might also want to consider VRV as a workaround. You can link your CR premium account to it, which gives you premium access to the CR channel on VRV. (It can take several hours for premium status to show after linking -- mine didn't kick in until 17 hours later, but since it's been linked it's worked fine.)

Most of CR's shows are available there. There's no queue, but there is a watchlist which is reasonably convenient.

but someone like me cant use vrv
vrv only works in the US
there is no xbox 360 vrv app

I didnt like vrv because it had limited shows. I wanted to watch steins gate on funimation and thought vrv would be a good choice to have both, but it wasnt on there. I have no idea if the same is true for CR though.

I've been using Crunchyroll for about 4-5 months in it's free guise (only SD streams, no simulcast and interruptions for advertising) and decided this week to take out "Premium" ( ) as my daughter's now also watching several series with me and we'd never had any problems with the site either via PC or via the iOS/Android/X-Box 360 Apps.

I'm already starting to regret signing up though. Since signing up we now keep getting server errors most nights, always shortly after midnight (I'm in the UK so BST) and always for at least 1-2hrs. Tonight the servers went down about 12:30am and still aren't back up at 4:15am.

As soon as we sign out of my account and just go back to watching as a guest/free member like we used to the stream quality drops back to SD and we have to put up with adverts but everything works perfectly again. Trying to sign back in immediately brings back the "Server response malformed" or "There was a problem, try again" errors.

I'll be cancelling the subscription if there's any further outages before the free trial runs out as I refuse to pay for a "premium" service if I'm given a worse service than free/guest members. They may only get SD and have to watch adverts but at least they're getting something!

Ps. We can't use VRV here in the UK either.

I am in the same boat and Crunchyroll is keeping their mouths shut not doing a damn thing. We pay 100 bucks a year and now every weekend we are unable to use the thing we paid for!

Crunchyroll needs to step up and focus on their original services that people are paying for. I am on the newer roku have done all their "Fixing steps" which by the way is bullcrap when I am able to go to funamation no loading issues, hulu, anime network, netflix and stream perfectly and I love how I have not been able to find a real e mail to send to the company. Starting to think I should report them to the BBB. It is not on my side or the thousands of other customers who are having the same issues its on Crunchyroll's side and they need to fix it. You honestly think that paying users are going to jump to VR when you can't even keep up with your original service???

I also have been very disappointed in Crunchyroll's performance over the past two months. Every weekend without fail the service either goes down totally or is extremely slow. Can't even watch during the weekend when I actually have time to watch. I'm starting to think that I am wasting my money here. They have had a few months to sort this out already. It's getting ridiculous.

I was just coming here to post about this...it's really frustrating that I can't use a service I'm paying for when I want to use it. I haven't been able to watch any anime since last Thursday. Like, I get that I'm trying to use the service during peak hours, but I'm still paying for it. I wonder if it's possible for them to pick up some upgraded/larger servers for the premium users, or if that'd just cause more technical issues.

Either way, I'm pretty tired of not being able to use what I'm paying for. I'm in the US, so I'll give VRV a try, but I'd really rather use the crunchyroll app specifically and there's no reason I shouldn't be able to.
